The Lone Thaitanic
Hey all,
I thought I could flesh out this forum a bit with nice bushy little Thaitanic that has been waiting and waiting around for her chance to bloom. It was a clone from a clone, from one of 3 Thaitanic plants I grew a couple winters ago. Since last spring the clone has turned into quite a thick and branchy bonzai type thing and now that I have 2 healthy clones established I am stoked to put this one into bud. Now, it's not even like I had the greatest of luck with this phenotype. The other 2 phenos were more skunky, with fruitier smells and tighter, more round nugs. This one however branches like crazy and makes some very sativa-like buds ( long, not obviously frosty, lots of rusty-red pistils, and this beautifully deep, sweet smell. Hard to describe, maybe like sweet apple juice(?) while growing. First time I grew it out was my second grow, under 250W, and I took it down after 60 days. Seemed quite done to me. I didn't dry it as thoroughly as I should have before jarring however, and so I think I wrecked the taste and smell. The buzz was nicely sativa, although not particularly potent. second time I grew it I force-flowered it early outside in the spring. By week 6 she didn't seem too happy due to the lack of strong sun I bet so I cut her. Still, I dug the aroma and mellow sativa buzz. Whew, anyhow, I plan of letting this one go at least 10 weeks and drying it properly. So here she is. Thanks for lookin'...speedy. |

I got Thai-Tanic on my list. I'll get to it sooner or later down the road.

I somehow doubt that you will find "the pure chocolate pheno" in T-t F1's. In the F2's maybe

No you can. T.F.D bred the ThaiTanic for a thai dominance in taste(wich include the buzz). If you grow enough lady you can find a plant with the pure thai chocolate taste, but with vigour, yield, maturing time, stature, high resin content ect. Ive seen a couple of those on the net. Hey dudes,
well I hate to update like this, but my thaitanic has not been doing well. My only explanation is that I put it outside one very hot day and did not water it in the morning. By afternoon it looked like shit. It wasn't wilted, just burnt. Makes me think it was a combo of not enough moisture in the roots and too much heat. I lost a Sour NL x Nev's Haze the same day like this. Take a look. I will be chopping off the dead and crispy buds today and continue to wait for signs of resumed growth in the buds that survived. Fuck, the plant was looking, smelling , and feeling so damn good before this happened! * not havin' the best gardenin' luck this season * Last edited by speedyweedy; 08-01-2006 at 01:28 AM..
