Cherrs for that, Cannawolf!
I've got a similar point of view. I used to like coffeeshop culture for a long time(still do)but quality dropped big time in around 2010, especially weedwise(also due to demand kinda exploded in the last ten years and weed/hash even more became totally mainstream). In the last years I primary look for good import hash(still available). At home I mostly smoke moroccan hashish as well and organic homegrown if it's available. You can't compare homegrown with sem-industrial produced coffeeshop weed though. It's just unfair. Nonetheless coffeeshops charge stupid prices for often average gear at best. It's all about this stupid backdoor policy though. Politicans need to wake up especially if you see what happens in the Usa since some years(never been but what I heard it's more often on par with good homegrown than in the dutch scene).

Thanks for reporting back about the Original Glue. Would love to see it in the coffeeshop scene but I doubt it was the real deal(as said never been to the Usa though)as for example shitholes like Greenhouse(some good hash to be found every now and then though)claim to sell the Exodus cut but it's at best Big Buddha's watered down version from seedlines(I used to have some quite good organic homegrown Blue Berry Cheese but as said you can't compare that). Homegrown Fantasy(rest in peace!)supposed to have the original cut from around 2005-2009 and I was lucky enough to score during that time. Unique example as far as I can say(never got it elsewhere only from coffeeshops)and kinda felt in love with it. Most shops - 1eHulp included - play this name game anyway so lots of fake named ones around. Sometimes I think their offered gear only is different named Amnesia. So I'm pretty sceptical when it comes to famous us-strains(or whereever from)offered in the coffeeshop scene. Haven't got any 'real' cheese(I do take a sniff often when offered)there since they lost the cut.

1eHulp: nicely decorated shop for hanging out a bit(moroccan theme). Has got a little hype around the local Amsterdam community in the last years and seems to be specialised when it comes to 'trendy weed'. They sell good enough gear but I haven't seen anything really special but on the other hand I don't frequent that shop often. Last time I had some Amnesia Pollen(12€ if memory serves me right, moroccan hashish)which was good enough but not that special either. I also heard they post good looking buds on their facebook page when new stuff comes in while selling smothing different or not so good looking ones(of course this is an old marketing hat).

By the way I opened this thread yesterday maybe anyone can contribute?! https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=314291

I wouldn't mind a hash tour with like-minded people either. Holla at me if that's okay. Otherwise delete this post, cheers!

@Mack10

Cheers!
Yes I did but I was about my last trip as reported here. JamieShoes already offered(thanks again)this coffeeshop cup and Mila's Dabadoo but unfortunately my next visit to the Dam is closely before christmas and only for an overnighter so not much time.

Next year is a new chance then and if time I'll get back to you all.

Enjoy your festivities though guys!

You won't get anything real close to a "sativa" in A'Dam... where they mostly sell commercial strains and unfortunately nowadays, sativas aren't considered profitable strains in most cannabis spots.

Maybe you can try with the import Thai or South African but the quality and potency is going to be mediocre. Plus you'll have to deal with an annoying vendor trying to change your mind on buying "shitty" imports rather than the super nice trendy buds they sell at 15€/g.

Possibly you could still find some A5, C5 Hazes or decent Kali Mist in some places or outside the centre, around Maastritch. That's as close you would get to one (still 50% Haze at most!)... all the rest of "sativas" from the coffeshops are simply skunk and afghan hybrids with lots of body and bland effect, things like the Amnesia/SSH "core", Super Haze and all that crap.

Anyway nothing close to what sativa and haze heads are care for (clean weed, energetic buds with no body or heavy couchlock comedown despite the appeal or hype). Coffeshop scene= lots of fake strains, hype and overpriced buds, all for the tourist money! It's a good mirror of what the dutch cannabis industry become nowadays. Nothing close to what it used to be in the 90s. Good for tourists and eventual smokers though but not the best option for growers or people looking for high grade buds. You'd rather have a contact there to buy something nice/different outside the shops and do some tourism around the city, it's a lovely place to get lost.

Vibes.

+1 more or less, MustaFunk, cheers!

Apart from that not so much a fan of a clear sativa here(had a homegrown version of Kali Mist with effects as you and others put it)but there is some '100%sativa' available in a couple of coffeeshops these days, sold under different names of course and so again too for a price(18€+, ridiculous!).

I had it on occassion and it was similar to my mentioned Kali Mist phenotype but had a more trippy edge to it which I appreciate(probably due to being a phenotype of Nevill's Haze supposedly).

even the kali mist I bought at blue bird ten years ago gave me only a strong indica/sativa high. nothing to compare with an euphoric clear high. no need to be strong ! an only euphoric long lasting and clear high would be enough for a sativa lover.

medical marijuana is the desease ! Today you have to think you are hill to be authorized to smoke weed...isn't that any spirit manipulation ?

if people follow that, in fifty years every body will smoke "alprazolam weed";

I want psilocybin weed !!

hey joe where are you going run to now ? where you gonna go ?
I'm going way down south,..... up to be FREE !
