I found it to be a waste of money. As you know, I use humus to prevent pH issues.

I have used it for a while now and I love the it. As stated above it just takes a little to get a change. Not even a TS more like 1 quarter TS for 5 gallons is what I use and my tap runs about high 7's to 8. I don't think it is intended to be used as a soil additive. It is to adjust the ph of your nutrient solution. Keep in mind I have already added my nutes. So with that said, add your nutes check your ph and add just a little and check again. You'll get it.

Great Stuff and one container lasts forever.

Good Luck.

Hello Burn1,

Have not seen you about for some time now.

Well, I should just rely on the humus and the D.lime to keep things in check. I just have a hard time drenching my soil with nute solutions (alaska fish and ej bloom) that are around a pH of 4.

But recently, I have been hooked with the ewc/guano/molasses/kelp teas. Just bubble and viola. Or as we say in America-viola.

But when I do use the liquid ferts for a quick boost- I try to pH the solution so as to not cause a dramatic pH swing and having a negitive effect on the microkiddies.
In addition, the pH up is potassium hydroxide-a good source of available potassium.

Good to see you back again Burn1 ,

minds_I

PS: just a pinch will change a gallon a whole point (I mean just a tiny amount)

Another thing you can try is mixing your nute solutions to adjust pH. Maxicrop liquid kelp will raise pH. Pure Blend Pro will lower pH. Guano tea will raise pH. Experiment.

Hello Burn1'

"Guano tea will raise pH"

Boy you go thtat right- I was prepared to give the girls some tea last night-thinking I should nothave to Ph it. Well, I did anyway-good thing the pH was well above 9.0. WOW. But hte reason is the liquid kelp has a pH of 8.5. So, this last time I added the kelp to bubble where before I did not. This is the r4eason I think for the pH to go wcko like that-the guano and the kelp. That and it bubbled for 3 days.

Anyway, I just gave them liquid ferts lastnight-EJ Bloom-its the last shot of ferts as choptime is in two weeks or so-maybe less- I used the 9 week timeline instead of 8 weeks to finish.

As far as mixing the ferts to compensate the pH-yes, I have been doing that in the past.

Thanks Burn1

sodium bicarbonate works well to raise ph and refreshes the fridge while being stored.

Hello all,

Yeah, you betcha it does-like 1/8-1/4 teaspoons/gallon for whole point shifts.

Took me three tries to get the first time I used it correct-kept overdosing. Had to start over.

I prefer to keep the pH of the solution going in at 6.25.

But last night I gave my vegging Sadhu and Kush plants a dose of Alaska fish, ejbloom, molasses and kelp. I checked the pH and it was below 4 (off the scale) but since I am organic and I have D.lime int he soil and I have just two weeks left in this soil I just gave it to them- putting my faith in all those who have graciously givenme thier thoguhts and opinions and advice.

I did check the runoff-6.75- perfect

The humates and the microkiddies will buffer the pH. I use liquid kelp every watering.

Do you think the humic acid is of sufficient quantity?

Its the AK fish and the EJB dropping it down acidic. Imo 4 is too low for feeding and going to burn the small roots a bit. I use Peruvian seabird guano mixed with water to raise my ph.
