need some info from people that use Money Orders

looking at other payment methods at the moment
but I need some info,
If your order is $100 how much does a Money order cost for that amount
and does the fee rise with the value of the Money Order

thanks

most places in US... offer money orders for a flat fee.... usually less than 1 dollar...
they don't increase the fee for larger amounts...
most MO's.... have a max of 300 dollars per money order...
larger orders would require multiple purchases of MO's... so a flat fee for each one

this goes for most retailers , and for everyone that issues western union

if U need furthur info...plz just ask

It is a flat rate, 15$ if I remember correctly. Edit: money order and sending registered mail to the UK

With all due respect for ICmag and it's seedbanks, but I wont order from you guys with no CC's and only Money Orders. Too many places offer lower prices for the same seeds and you don't have to pay with money orders. Not to mention other sights have guaranteed delivery and 4 day turn around to Cali. Also everything happening with Gypsy...... Been a long time since I have seen seedbay/bou perform to my personal standards. Also, where is Clarence, that's another big reason I don't mess with the bay anymore. Clarence was a seed distributing maniac on a mission, I miss him/her. Sent many $5-$10-$20 tips for a round of beers on me, hope Clarence enjoyed those beers.

I'm looking at direct payments via credit card through Western Union and possibly Moneygram
this means you can pay by credit card and the money is sent direct to a bank account
that way there is no mail involved and a 2 - 3 day process rather than a week plus for normal mail

would people use this option if it was available ??
there is a fee for this transaction that I need to look into
but we could maybe sort out free shipping etc if the rate is more than a few dollars
on orders made this way

paypal may be an option
but we got burned before by them when they found out we sold cannabis seeds

I have to admit I would be tentative to use Seedbay again, but with the option to use CC's and the quick delivery, then I would be MUCH MORE likely to use them. Guaranteed delivery? If customs grabs it and people have pictures as proof I think the seeds should be resent. Luck of the draw is one thing, but it seems like the mail service has your guys number and grab as much as they can. That shouldn't be passed to the customers. We pay for seeds, we should get seeds. It's your companies job to deliver those seeds.

A tracking option would be good. My last order, several years ago, never made it and Clarence only response was- oh well it was sent. Ps- I'm not one of the peeps who miss him

i use walmart for MOs. Couple bucks per.. the CC debate! people in CA, CO & WA, etc. don't worry, in FL we worry.. for now.

I'm OK with MOs, even have sent cash recently.. but always registered, makem' sign for it' mail.

EDIT: and yes, a % for the order takers and company ($10ish for a 1-2 hundred dollar order... or so).
EDIT: buy a tee shirt from them.. in Florida, too paranoid to wear them out or even around the house but givem away to whoever.

heard this same thing many times, for thousands of dollars. The main reason I would most likely NEVER use seedbay again.
