Flower Day 16

Hey OJD. Thats some good advice there, wish I had taken it earlier!
Unfortunately i missed that boat to top these... should have been doing it all along.
Instead I've resorted to using the netting around the sides of my cab , to strap her down and spread her open (Hence the strange structure in the photo)
Stretch on these is NO JOKE, especially the Freak cross.
ChemD x GSC have a nice level of stretch, on the milder side and very manageable.

For those interested, I am currently feeding them
  • 1 ec - MaxiBloom
  • 5 ml/gal - CalMag Plus
  • .5-.75 ml/gal - ProTekt (as a pH adjust)
  • EC: 1.5
  • PH: 5.8
  • Temp: 73* F
  • Humidity: 60%

I am still fighting off these fucking spider mites...
Cursed with the "impossible to kill" Californian variety with the two spot(s).
Dipped all my plants in a Floramite bath before flower.
Thought they were eradicated, but i guess that is what everyone says before they show up again, and again, and again....
Hit them with Captain Jack's Dead Bug (Spinosad) & Earth-Tone Insect Control (Pyrethins) this week to try and hold them off.
Anyone have any other advice?

All the best,
BeL

Thanks, I've been taking really good care of them the past few weeks.
No, haven't tried them, just sprays. What do you recommend for predator mites?

nice update

yeah these haze freak testers are really stretchy and need to be trained topped or flowered early
but if you like haze then you need this weed in your life
hopefully you can pull it of even tho they got that tall
if you got a vertical light that will be much beter and increase the bud density alot

peace

Howdy yall,

I've been severely behind in my grow life... however my personal life has been great!
Seems one has to suffer for the other to thrive, its really unfortunate & im working on better balance.

This has not been one of my better grows, as you can see I have a family of Spidermites settling in over the past few weeks while i was out of town and had a friend caring for these plants. However, I have made good headway in killing them off in the past week, but i will let you be the judge.

The yellowness is due to the spider mites and not a lack of available nutrients. In all the reading i have been doing, i've learned that the borg sticks their head/mouth into the leaves, piercing the cell walls and literally sucking the life out of the plants. This directly affects the plants photosynthesis abilities and is irreversible.

At this point, i believe i have a handle on them so on with the pics...

Looking good Bude, glad to hear things are turning around for you. Sending all the good vibes to you and all the bad to the Borg........ kill them basturds. If you are interested in predators to help check out Seafour's threads out or ask him, he is very knowledgeable in that area.

The ladies are looking good and I am with you on being too late at training the stretchy ones...... I had to lst a couple in the beginning of flower but all is well and about to harvest. Gonna train the heck out of the clones I got and do another run.

Good luck and karma, Hick

Id say as of today,
#2 has a definitive doughy smell to her, like GSCs ...
#1 has a slightly lighter nose which is more of a bright and fruity/sweet smell

Thanks Hicksticky... you wouldnt be related to a guy in NY named Stick Stickly would you?

Yeah had to train the ECSDxfreak by physically strapping her down to the walls, thats why i haven't gotten any pics of her in a while. Will make sure i post some harvest pics once shes done but i reckon it will be another month at the speed shes flowering.
