Big Buddha's Blue Cheese from seed to weed...
Ok......... so I took the plunge after some deliberating and help from the '*****' crew over whether to get....
. White Russain - from Serious Seeds, . Big Buddha's Cheese, or........ Blue Cheese (also from the Big Buddha stable). As the title suggests, I decided to go with the Blue Cheese. Here's Big Buddha's take on the genetics used- Blue Cheese Strain type: Sativa / Indica Hybrid (25% Blueberry 75% Cheese) Parents: Blueberry x Cheese (male) X original U.K. Cheese (female) Growing info: Indoors: Flowering time 8-10 weeks Sensory Experience: Highly euphoric, Very functional, Smell: A Sweet, Fruity, Tarty, Berry scent, with that recognised musky undertone of the original cheese Taste: Potent, Blueberry, Fresh taste Blue Cheese was created, first, by selecting a blueberry male from the entire collection of several different breeder versions of blueberry. The selected male was then crossed with our proud mother, and the backbone of many of our breeding projects; the original U.K. cheese. From these crosses a male with extremely fruity characteristics was chosen as the father of our Blue Cheese As promised there were 11 seeds in the pack.... don't know why they dont just say 11 beans instead of ten but hey!Anyway I recently bought some Skywalkers from Dutch Passion and managed to kill 9 out of ten after they had germed! managed to kill em by overwatering so I opted for a growFAQ germ technique this time round...... that way if it all goes tit's up again I can got someone else to blame, teehee ![]() These girls will eventually go under either a 400w or 600w lamp depending in how bushy/Tall they get. Little info on my wee lil cupboard.... 2m in Length x 1m wide: of which I use 1.8 (L) x 0.8(W) so I can get around to water etc.... The height is 2.5m. Extraction is 1 x 8" 1000m3/hr fan on cheap speed controller, with a 6"680m3 intake also on cheap intake..... summers commin! The females will go into 6.5L pots of coco for bloom. The one remaining fem'd skywalker will be put in with these seeds and hopefully I should have a nice bit of 2 different Blueberry crosses to toke on I'll also be on the lookout for a 'cheese' dominant male to dust a the 'cheese' dominant female with ![]() ![]() Well on with the show ![]() peace! |

ooopsss forgot the pics..... what's a thread without pics!!?
![]() What's up pontiac hope yas got a lot of popcorn bro strap in tight myan cause your in for the long haul now bro! Not much to show right now the beans are still germin, but here's a pick of the beans and the way I germ beans that I knicked of an ex-oger (herbilizor) works a treat and beans usually pop with 36 hours. Here's a couple pics of the single survivor out of a $120 pack of Dutch Passion Skywalker fem's... my own stoopid fault BTW... And a lil summin summin to help with the wait of the new crop... a lil LUI mixed with Sour diesel bubble! ![]() Update: So far @ 36hrs 5 of the beans haved cracked, just waiting for the other 5 now... hopefully they'll be done by tonight then they'll all go into small rockwool cubes soaked in Canna Rhizotonic which will help em build good roots and I think add some vit. B. More as it happens

Ok so 9 out of 11 have popped and are in rockwool cloning cubes. The 2 left will surely pop with a lil bit of time, especially considering its pretty hot where I am today which will be sure to help some.
Couple of the tap roots had become real long and I had to split the rockwool cube and the rubber band it back up cause I was not going to get the long roots into the wee hole in the cubes. Well here's a few pics...... |

Ok so this is what they looked like 24 hours after placing most of them into rockwool cubes.... 10 of them had popped within 3 days but the last one popped today...
They are growing at a good pace... think this is down to my wee veg space being a lil warmer than usual due to the weather, temps are now 28C lights on & 25C lights off which is near perfect.... humidity is 45% a lil low for this stage but ok all the same.... The first 5 to pop have tap roots showing @ the bottom of the clonin cubes now so I got some 3" ones soaking for them to be transplanted into, then on coco from here... Anyway, I'll take a few mo pics next week mon, and the would've hopefully grown some by then. I hear they sell blue cheese in one of the coffeshops in the Dam, anybody know which one it is? Ciao! |

High
![]() @ Herbie... cheers for checking in dewd, get comfy! Pioneer.... I like the sound of that, as long as i don't have to find any new countries or anything I cabn dig it ![]() @ true... High bro I was just wading through the pages of juicy plant porn that you disguise as a thread ![]() nice garden mate! Added a lil something to your new grow plan to hope it helps some.Plant update So I got 4 sour diesel 2.5 (rez's) clones to go in with these beans.... the beans are all doing well bar 1 runt who will still come along for the ride. all the rest have rooted through 3" rockwool cubes and are doing fine.... one is starting to show a lil yellow on each leaf tip, what looks like the early sign of a nitrogen dif.... when do you guys start feeding seeds these are like a week from being placed in the paper towels, have 1 set of leaves with the second appearing yesterday morining... and since germination they have had only rhizotonic (which had run out! lol) they also got a bit leggy stretching for the light, should I feed them with ferts yet? Bear in mind there in rockwool.... CiaO! Last edited by Mampi; 06-16-2006 at 08:00 AM.. |
