I am wondering on all the various methods, which have the best track record? I have heard crazy prices quoted of like $50-70 for DHL, FED EX, and other couriers or for international priority mail. They say the piece of mind is worth it, but it would be crazy to pay that much if your seed order is under $100. I keep thinking how much more seeds that would buy instead! So, I would like to hear what works and how well. thanks!

PS. by problems, I mean payments not getting to boo/bay, this is not meant for green tape issues. I am torn on whether to stick with my original intent or not. I guess vote as you will, but if it was green tape I'd rather you vote one of the "other" categories, or at least explain that it was a seizure or missing/broken bean issue rather than a lost payment issue. And to be clear, the intent is to put numbers to how many use which service, not to start a thread for whining and flaming the boo/bay. thanks!

also, if you pick other, please explain, thanks! I was thinking maybe cash would be ok in small, repeated mailings to add more to your account credit, but that large one time payments should use at least registered mail.
edit: I didn't mean it to be a cash vs money order debate either, so I should have put "regular mail" instead of "cash". sorry!

1 out of 6 sent via International Priority got empty in Chicago and was re-tape and was delivered empty 'it was also the only 7 day 43$ i sent i normally do 3 day 77-85$ ,

I've received 3 orders from seed boutique and 1 from seedbay since Aug. using money orders sent regular mail with no problems.

After problems with regular mail, I used registered twice with no problem. I hear a lot of complaining, and then it ends up OK or worked out in most cases from what I can tell. Hopefully this will reveal some interesting info.

I chose other. $1 First Class International stamp (maybe $1.10 or so now?) and a blank money order. I have lost two payments over the course of.... 6 years? Last one lost was at least two or three years ago. The way I see it, I've still saved a shit load on extra postage costs after I've factored those in.

I'm not going to join in on your poll but only because I've never had a problem receiving seeds I've ordered, be it the boo, the bay or elsewhere. Just order them. Everyone takes a chance on their order not making it. It is what it is. No guarantees, no promises in most instances. It's a black market. If you can't afford to lose it, then don't spend it. And in the end don't bitch.

I tried to make this a useful poll where people could figure out the shipping method best for them, and the only way to do that is with high levels of participation. I don't know if I constructed the options in the best way possible, would have liked to include specific rates (like someone mentioned, 1/6 lost, but then I'd need like 50 options and it would be very cumbersome). Still, I hope we can all learn from this.

Money order was sent the last two orders. June and July of this year.

Never received the two orders. No green custom tapes. Had to wait 30 days to accept the fact that there is no shipment. Also waited another 30 days for Western Union to say the money order was cashed by SRI.

The good news is the Canadian banks are operating reliably as clockwork.
Every order received within two weeks after placing order. I like silver linings.

You may want to rewrite this as it makes very little sense to me lol!!! Are you sending seeds or receiving them? You mention payment types and seeds?? Are you curious about payments arriving with what carrier? You really aren't specifying anything as to ur intend and what you're looking for, or I just can't read lol!!!

Ordering cross borders for me has had quit a few poor experiences(not see related) such that companies like ups and fedex charge up the a$$!! Literally, a bag costing 20$ and 10$ shipped will cost 40$ to get over the border lol, eat ====D I send it back. Ups especially, when they come I know a massive bill will be attached to receive my parcel. Sufice to say I ask before hand and NEVER ship via ups. They don't ship with anything but ups they don't get my business.

I've ordered from https://www.marijuana-seeds-canada.com with no problems and I beleive shipping was only 4.95$. 6 different breeders and 100% germ rate the last time I ordered.

I would imagine most companies selling seeds online have mastered the art of sending their product with less then a 5% seizure(and I bet that numbers high). Companies have reputations to uphold.
