The title speaks for itself. If you have a pet that you love, let us see. Aquarium, sugar gliders, cats, dogs, ferrets, you name it. We all here know our pets treat us better than most humans. I decided to do a thread like this because of the posts I see where a person's pet has passed, and they show us a pic of their beloved pet. It really breaks my heart. I will start. I drove over 800 miles round trip to get this little fella. Jack Russell broken coat, he is amazing!! He also is trying his best to make the first ever cat dog. LOL

my dog did that when I first brought her home with my cat who were "working it out" on who was top pet.

she's a pitbull wiener dog mix that was a freebie off craigslist. she looks like a pit but is twice as long as she is short. she's around 28 pounds. I'm not a small dog person and thought she would be bigger since the person giving her away found her and didn't know what she was. she acts like a big dog and doesn't have the smaller dog traits. I love her so much.

I'm so glad that there are others
on ICmag into snakes, I love the
boa I'm into the Roswell morph..
I have ball pythons myself and
intend on breeding them! Here
are my baby boys coming to me
in the next month or so..I'm too
excited for them to come and get
big!! It really is an addicting hobby

Above is my baby Mojave Spinner
male {Mojave X Spider X Pinstripe}.
He also had some paradoxing on
the side that was noticed after I
bought him.. so that's exciting too!

This is my baby Pastel Jigsaw boy!
{Mojave X Pastel X Pinstripe} The
Mojave & Pin gene together make
the combo Jigsaw, while the Pastel
gene into this famous combo makes
the same pattern busier and brights
the whole thing out with a nice head
fade that almost looks like a Super..

A lot of diversity just bred to a normal
in every clutch so it's going to be fun,
here's my normal female ball python!

Wow! Absolutely beautiful!

Breeding is really taking it to the next level.

Good luck!! :ying:

Too bad most folks will never know how gentle ball pythons and boas really are. :ying:

@Hold Your Fire: Albino Cinnamon,
Axanthic Spider, Lesser Pinstripe, a
Killer Clown {Super Pastel X Clown}
with a high reduced Calico or is it a
Calico Spider high white? Dreamsicle
aka Albino Lavender Piebald and a
normal Piebald..correct me if I got
any of them wrong lol here's a few..

8UjA1FJ.jpg

Leopard Clown Piebald

TPNHISu.jpg

Axanthic Clown
This bad boy was 40k when I saw him,
there hasn't been many of them made
on top of the clown being a hot gene &
the axanthic one of the most popular
color mutations, both the genes recessive
so that's many many more years of work
to achieve the visual expression compared
to seeing results from a single Dom/Co-Dom
clutch pairing. Lots of money in ball pythons.

mIgNEXA.jpg

Pastel Clown & Super Pastel Clown aka killer
All Co-Dominant genes have a super form when
bred together which are an exaggeration of the
trait, it really shows in the clown combo the killer!

Sterling Champange

I will conclude with a picture of a personal
favorite of mine, the Super Pastave which
is the super form of the Pastave {Mojave
X Pastel}. The Mojave & Pastel are both Co-
Dom genes so even their combo has a Super!
I like the Pastave just as well, I'll be able to
make Pastaves when I get a female with the
Mojave gene, ideally another 2-4 gene combo
to match with my 3-gene males. I'm really
into the Piebald and Clown gene but they are
out of my price range at the moment but I
can breed towards them and plan to - but
it's just a lot of extra work with the Recessive
gene like the Piebald and Clown both are..

pastave.jpg

Super Pastave

I'll go away for now but have a lot more pics
of Piebald combos that are really insane.. the
5 and 6 gene stuff coming out now is fucking
mindblowing, some of them are really watered
down looking bizarre snakes that you can't even
identify what their makeup is until you breed
them and see what comes out, but some nice
selections have made really balanced and new
unique combos that are genetically powerful..
some people are even making GHI BELS for the
hell of it just to have a nice white snake that pops
out gold everytime it's bred with something else.

Do you have any snakes yourself Hold Your Fire?

@Mikell: I'm glad that it's working!
When people hear how easy they
are to take care of it's more enticing
in my opinion, they only eat once a
week to once a month depending on
how much you feed them, and or if
they're on one of their feeding strikes
that are completely random that can
last for many months up to over a
year - On top of being generally shy
creatures that stay in their hides most
of the time so their enclosures don't
take up as much space as other snakes
and animals, and because of their eating
patterns and temperament you can plan
vacations without any worry in the world.

One of the only things to successful reptile
husbandry in my opinion is you have to &
HAVE TO have your enclosure dialed in to
assure the animals health & proper feeding
and shedding, it is ONE OF THE MOST DAMN
FUCK FRUSTRATING things in the world when
one of your balls goes on a hunger strike but
it's to be expected in their life during mating
phases and such, but will be triggered by bad
husbandry of it's environment or any stress;
on top of improper shedding if the humidity
isnt dialed in. But as versed horticulturists
on ICmag this is no worry at all really, besides
being smart enough to have your snakes dialed
in I consider a snake a scientists pet compared
to a dog in the way that you have to take a lot
of notes. Having your shit dialed in and keeping
track of it's life thoroughly is the main key to it.

I originally didn't want anything to do with snakes
because I always associated their smell with the
Puget Sound Garter snake smell, and didn't want
none on top of my dad banning snakes because
of his phobia of them; so it just wasn't ever really
initiated into my life until way later for those things.
They're puppy dog tame and individualize people...
for cats and dogs they expect to love you but for
a snake it feels truly earned which I really like.
They cling onto your neck for warmth and give you
really nice deep massages, my female ball will often
rub the side of her head up and down the sides of
my face ahahaha she really likes my head too because
I shave half of it from the middle down because I'm
a moron but the snake loves the feeling of it lmao.

I mentioned the BEL (Blue Eyed Leusistic) earlier
and this is what one looks like, love the sapphire
eyes!! The Mojave, Lesser, Butter, & one or two
other Co-Dom genes I'm forgetting at the moment
have the BEL gene and if any containing it bred
together, chance the Blue Eyed Lucy ball python!

Also I forgot to mention each meal is about 2-4
dollars each and I just noticed the Paradoxing on
that Albino Lavender Piebald that Hold Your Fire
posted a little earlier, my Paradoxing spots are
white instead of that nice black against the white!

Those are some damn beautiful snakes! Last big one I had, long time ago, was a reticulated python. It was pretty (all snakes have beautiful markings really) but not nearly as beautiful as those above. His name was Max, and he was an irritable sonofabitch. Bit me a few times, he was 8 feet, teeth (100 of 'em) were about 1/4" long, it hurt and bled good when he bit. I didn't keep him too long, as you might guess.

Since Max, I've had snakes a couple of different times, but decided to stick with smaller non-tropical US snakes like corn snakes, king snakes, etc. They can be extremely beautiful too, there's all kinds of fancy breeds with incredible coloration.

@Wiggs Dannyboy: Yikes! I wouldn't
want to be tagged by a large boid but
guess how many times I've been bit
in my life? Zero..sand..nadda..It's all
about knowing feeding triggers and
knowing their body language, I assume
your reticulated python was a rescue?

I would only get a boa or retic if a baby..
I love the purple albino reticulated & cow!!!

I posted this one before. My baby girl going after my C99 harvest in 2004. Sometime around then. :) She's still a pothead today.

I love all the snake pics. I haven't had one of my own since I adopted 2 kittens when I got my first place on my own out of college. I thought it might be risky having big snakes and little kittens in the same apartment.

This one's from a few months ago. :) Relaxing in the sun with my other favorite plant. She doesn't really care for this one.

I got the retic from a pet store in the town where I was going to college. I was young and I was pretty stupid when I decided to purchase him. The pet store had a "special low price" tag on his cage. The owner wouldn't even stick his hand in there!

But... I was with my girlfriend, and I wasn't going to let some stinkin snake tell me what's what (HA!), so I took my time and very carefully removed the snake and purchased him. Up until this point I'd only owned a very nice and calm red tail boa. I didn't know what I was getting myself into.

Well, once I had him... I had him, no what I'm saying? Not much I could do with his irritable personality except deal with it. I was always very careful when reaching in his cage, but a couple of times my being careful wasn't enough. I don't know anything about it's history before me, whether he was mistreated or what, but I believe that reticulated pythons aren't known to be very friendly.

Shortly after adopting this mofo I dropped out of school moved from NY down to Houston, TX to live with some friends. I moved down there in January, I was driving a VW beetle that had no heat, and I brought this snake down with me. I had him in a nylon mesh bag and kept him inside my shirt the entire trip.

I kept him for about 6 more months. One day I picked up a dude hitchhiking, we got talking about snakes and I told him I had one for sale. See ya later Max!

Bob Clark was doing cool stuff with retics years ago with some outstanding morphs, but the 15'-20'(or longer) snake market can't be a very big one.
