Resurection of the legendary Chemdog DD - Seed Boutique - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Now that my life is finally slowed down from all the craziness, it's time to get into the vault and get some straight fire going.

I picked up all these packs on a fuzzy relist from seedbay somewhere late 2010 early 2011 when it was middle of the night relists here in the midwest. What a night. I scored 2 packs of Hybrids from Hell Kromes White Diesel x Kromes White diesel. A pack of Hybrids from Hell Cheese x Dansk Diesel, and drumroll please!!!!! A pack of Chemdog DD from Rez's trinity auctions! The pack was listed at $100 which was a steal!

I pulled out 5 Chemdog DD, 5 Cheese x Dansk Diesel and 3 of the Kromes White Diesel. I will let the seeds aclimate from the fridge for 24 hours. I germinate in a shot glasss of water for 24 hours + or - and into a moist paper towel till i see the seeds crack and shoot the tap root. Then its into 16oz red solo cups of coco. Long term goal here is to f2 the chemdog dd's and maybe cross it out with the hybrids from hell crosses. Wish me Luck!

Thank you Master Chine! I let the wife pick out two strains to pop also so she picked Mosca Blue Moon and Hortilab Starbud This could turn into some serious fire being found! I am flowering two phenos of Loud Seeds Loud Dreams right now as well as their Headband and a Pure AK from Female Seeds. I have moms of these as well. So far I am very impressed with both Loud Seeds and Female seeds. My current grow is linked in my sig...

God tell me about it.... I want to pop the whole pack and eventually will I am just scared to death to put all my eggs in one basket on this one. All my beans have been stored in a mason jar. One in the fridge for planned recent work and one in the freezer for long term preservation. I fill the mason jar with rice and duct tape the whole thing. It has worked for me so far. God only knows how long they were in Fuzzy's vault though....

I think the DD was from like 2008, so they should still be good.

Honestly I have never seen anything but gold come from the DD, so it's worth popping them all and doing an open pollination with what ever you get. I say do an open pollination to really preserve the magic in that strain.

is the Chemdog D-D, the same as the Chemdog Double D? I have never seen it labeled like that. If so... the Chem D x Sour Diesel IBL cross still exists in the form of Chemdog Sour Diesel (regardless of the name, it is the same thing essentially), so it doesn't need resurrection as much as it could use some filial work.

the 2008 Double D has been my favorite seed pack I have grown so far (in terms of homogenous quality, though not without it's own drawbacks/trade offs), though 1 pack is a very small population to seriously "preserve" anything... much less half a pack. If I may, I would recommend that you pop all the Chem DD seeds and do an open pollination... and then run larger numbers from the F2's. Also if that is the '08 Double D, know it is very sensitive and hermi prone. Also, don't have any other varieties in the pollination room (or the flower room where your gestating females will be maturing) along with the Double D, or you run the risk of accidental contamination by the other varieties from unnoticed herms and stray pollen.

I am looking to do the same thing, only using 5 packs of Chemdog Sour Diesel which is the same cross as the Chemdog Double D (Chem D x Sour Diesel IBL) using a different individual male from the Sour D IBL line.

preservation and real breeding, the latter of which this line could really use, takes a lot of work and time not to mention specialty knowledge and attention to detail... in order to be done seriously and properly.

Infi, I think there was 2 releases of the DD which could account for the difference in the labels.

The Chem Sour is still out there but I think the DD was the opposite genetics used like Chem x Sour vs Sour x Chem? Or different parents used. I dont think the chem sour was as magical as the DD.

I grew some Chem Sour and got a few chem leaners, the best of the best lean towards the sour side and have those giant calyx's.

Edit: oh I just notice those have the TNT on the label, so those would be from the Trinity auctions, maybe thats why the difference in labeling.
