I have an indoor DWC grow.

Is it better to harvest during the dark period or end of dark period?

Or

Is it better to harvest during the light period or at the end of a light period?

Or

I can't remember the exact specifics but i read it was best to harvest in the morning up to one our of the lights being on because the plants have stored or used sugers during the dark period and it's at it's peak up to one hour of lights being on.....errr somthing like that

I do mine after 12 midnight
for no other reason, than the smell
less people around to smell the aroma

It's best to give your plants up to 48 hours dark before the chop. Outdoors, harvest as early in the morning as possible. THC is reduced when the lights are on the trichomes, overnight it is replenished. Similarly, store your buds out of the light as it destroys THC.

THC does degrade in light but not on an actively growing plant, significant degradation only comes after death of plant, personally I'd do it just before lights on because in my growroom that's the coolest part of the day.

This thread was a bit of a sleeper but I am happy people took interest in my question.

Here is what happened. I waited one more day and then I harvested on 6-2-06.

I did it, the third option that is. I harvested in the nick of time! I had some bud rot and also some mildew. What I was concerned with was the humidity being at 55%-61% for drying and having some mildew. SOB man! So I put the buds in a dark place and kept a fan on them. Any bud that showed mildew or rot was quarintined and dryed elsewhere from the away from the healthy nuggets. The Denser buds I cut into smaller ones to help facilitate drying and to stop or kill the mildew (I loved staring at them but I had to do it, sigh).

Because I have been dealing with higher humidity since 6-2 I have extended the drying period and will get ready to cure soon.

This harvets could not been a success with all the help from members of ICmag and also OG. Many thanks!

ICmag is alot more of a refined place, tha is for sure. But one I miss about OG was that I had entertainment with a weed tint to it. It was like reading MJ tabloids (silly people / drama, etc.) at times. Nothing like some bud, coffee, donut and the OG tabloids in the morn'. LoL.
