I had the pleasure of growing c99 in 99". Certainly was a nice plant. But as anything being that dated, its hard to expect an exact reproduction from that long ago. Sometimes you have to try other options that are available. I was skeptical when bro's said they were going to release her again, this many years later, and it would be just like the original. I SEE the price is very original.
I see your waiting to grab some Joey's when they become available again. Hopefully there all that and then some. I just recently popped some c99 x sweet #3 and some sweet #3 also from joey. Hopefully these are low odor and I can finish them out. I just want some seed from each strain. Thats my goal. Quote:

I did not get lost my 3 girls have done beautiful the first 30 days I could tell them apart over the next 2 months of training all 3 looked the same.
I got them transplanted I put a scrog up last week of vegg I know this is not a true scrog but it works for me. They were 20 inch's tall and 24 inch's wide. I prefer hands on plants Durning vegg. They are beautiful healthy girls I cut a couple clones of each of these girls before putting to 12\12 So I have them to decide on after these are done if these do as good through bloom as they have these 80 days of vegg they will be beautiful. All three had preflowers when put into flower they started having preflowers around day 45. I will post pics when lights come on tonight I'm very excited to be running this took long time to get a seed. We don't or have not ever ordered before a little nerve racking lol This is a strain we've all talked about last 10 years. I researched a lot before purchase Im happy with my decision they have been more vigorous in vegg then any other I've had. She's or they have taken a beating last 80 days to keep room if anyone was going to Hermie it will be these. We will see hope this finds everyone healthy and High. |

Hey SM,
We are really glad to read your enthusiastic post and we understand why. You can have quite a lot of fun with our C99 C99 is also suited for SCROG, so no worries about that. About phenos...Mostly 2: one pineapple, and grapefruit too, sweet and overall strong smell of fruit, exactly what we like. Basically, take a cut and be happy. And how is it going with your phenos? The only thing is that now we are extremely curious of seeing what have you been doing with the plants and how they look like. And since you are using a SCROG method we are really looking forward to see the pictures! Quote:

Hey Female Seeds... Im in the process of flowering out 2 c99 and im getting nervous. If you look at all the forums not just ic, there are journal after journal of the c99 herming out. At first i thought it was the growers but when reliable forum members report the same thing it really makes you pay attention.
As its my first time growing female seeds i was excited about c99 at a good price with good reviews. Then i noticed all the good reviews were prior to 2014 then almost all recent reports were that c99 was hermaphrodite. If its the case why not get some bros grimm stock and fix it. C99 was one of the hardest true females to herm out. I find it extremely off putting that your trying to brush off the problem as "sterile male flowers" bad excuse if my c99 herms i will never by fms c99 or any strain from them. If its bomb i will please take care of your customers when you have a good product it sells itself and if your customers are complaining about something fix it dont make excuses |

![]() Lots of reputable breeders here on IC speak specifically about sterile gonads in relation to feminized seeds. But you haven't even personally experienced a problem, or any pics of said problem... I mean if yah got a problem go through proper channels first, right? Maybe dont be slinging mud in the C99 FAN CLUB, this is not c99 complaints desk dude.. Grew the strain, pics in this thread, no nanners. Kept a cutting & still have 6 beans in the pack. Many growers I've known have grown it with and without nanners, no seeds. I've grown many fem beans from other breeders with nanners no beans no pollen. It's a thing, I would suggest learning something about it beyond a few very vocal seemingly uninformed people's whiney complaints...

And to clarify, true hermaphrodism is a sexual trait in ALL cannabis. Sterile male gonad on female gonad is a genetic mutation suspected of being a byproduct of sts/feminization of seeds. Ojd and chimera comment on it here at IC.
This gonad phenomena/mutation is widely considered to be different than a true hermaphrodidic plant, which if you've seen in person is 100% not even close to the same thing you're describing. |

I've grown your C99 for years now, usually outdoors . . . It never disappoints! Glad I got some, because the seed bank I got them from closed? Evidently . . . SSC . . Very sorry to hear that! Lucky
