@ zach, What did you like so much about that 69 hash?
Effect? You really think it was that good? I wasn't even born back then so i can't really say anything but the 99% heads drysift that i make in my kitchin is way better than any import i have ever come across.

The purity of well made bubble hash is far and away better than most imports. Especially Afghani Black hash, known for impurities. As for the flavor, well, some is strain specific. Some is climactic conditions - or the fact that much is sun-dried (maroc), as opposed to our method of curing and drying the flowers first.
There is a lot to be said for a Bit of plant material in the product adding flavor. Just a bit though.

I do not want to be forward , but the black hash from Afghanistan is the worst quality hash Afghanistan produces , basically trash . The afghan primo from 69,70 was a rich brown to dark brown it was imported mostly by the brotherhood of eternal love .I have had an acquaintance with cannabis for over 50 years , and have never seen that quality since .The flavor and aroma alone was enough to put you in an euphoric state ,and the high was devastating ..

So another believer in the 69 hash.
I think these batches where indeed some amazing hash. But I bet we could match it today. They just have a few thousand years on us.

Mack, the evidence is that hash production isn't that old in Afghanistan, at least in regard to broad-leaf varieties we associate with Afghanistan. Maybe early 20th century when broad-leaves floated in from Uzbekistan.
We can definitely match what they did. I think part of it is making hash out of a diverse number of plants to get a more balanced product, and the other is variety. I wonder if despite increased productivity and potency whether we've muddled what used to be more distinct highs. I got some Afghani recently and it wasn't the strongest but it left you with your cheeks aching and then you realize you've had a huge grin on your face for an hour. |

I am assuming your an "oldie"like myself and I remember the hash from the mid-late 70s so I hope you may have some insight into the hash that came speckled with white spots on the inside and we were told back then it was "opiated hash" ... in your experience was that true? or just myth?,, thanks mate,, peace and regards s2

Yeah man, I also remember this topic being discussed from time to time.
Also the strength in comparison to the leb, 00, 000. lol The economic situation, army, invasion I believe led to quality falling. Making quality hash they need the time etc, something the invasions etc didn't help. Once realised people will buy crap unfortunately some sold the lowest for the most cash, to get by. I expect a lot was adulterated even back then, but no where near what's I have seen around these day's. Also people in the country its going too, mixing pressing. A bloody sin I tell ya! peace bro!
