When I tried to download my pm messages, instead of downloading it to a file, it shows up as a page of weird HTML code. And some of my older messages give 1-1-70 as a date! What is going on here?

you downloaded them as html or csv? if it's html use a browser to open, if csv use excel to open. the weird date could be an error from the server, have you checked the actual message on the forum? still says same date or it is working well before it is downloaded?

I clicked the text download option, and instead it pulled up HTML gibberish. And now all the gray buttons on this site are crossed out with 4 or more white lines and are illegible. Is this the case for anyone else?

edit/ps: I meant the green buttons at the bottoms of every post. I checked, they ARE green like normal on my mac laptop, but are gray and illegible on my pc (which is where I was downloading pm text).

edit #2: I tried downloading on the mac. Same thing, it pulls up html nonsense when I tell it to download text.

Checked it now and you are right, it does export some unusable files. I'll inform the webmaster about this one.
And about those lines you get on buttons you should try to clear cookies and browser cache. That could/should solve your problems.

yeah I checked again (after cleaning cookies, did no good, but then shut down for a while) and now the buttons are fine, but it still thinks I want html code when I want text. The ones that are blank except a send date of 1/1/70 (before I was born and well before this site was!) may be from banned people or those who deleted their accounts? anyway, these were from the latter part of 2011, will never let pm build up that long again! Thanks for the help man!
