All of the seedlings look fairly uniform, very nice.

I planted 5 Sour Orange and chose the one female that had an orange smelling stem to flower, but when i flowered her she has small buds that smell like a bitter kerosene type smell.

I don't really know what Diesel smells like, but if it is more like kerosene than an astringent cleaning product i guess it has more diesel smell. It is quite offensive, not really something i am liking.

I will see how it grows.

Id cut them above the second node leaving 4 growing shoots and flip them all. The shot in the kitchen shows they will all fit in a 3x3 since the squares are 12 inches each. Think of seeds like family. If you had 11 kids they would all turn out different and have different personalities. One may become a famous millionare. While his brother sits in the ditch picking grass homeless. As a parent you wouldnt say i have 11 babies and from the looks of it these 3 are good so i will kill the other 8. I belive that plant picking is a mythical art and we should be beyond this by now.

Ive seen 10,000 plants in my life..... personaly taught over 100 to grow... and i cannot predict the future just by looks alone.

I give any grower a challenge:
I will bring you 12 clones and let you look them over. You can judge plant node spacing . You can stair at the blades of the leaves all you want. You tell me the two winners and the two loosers.... if you can do that ill give up my green thumb for good.

What you are doing by thinning them out is decreasing your chances of success. Id rather have 11 chances at success than 4 if i was looking for a mom.
