Bump...looking forward to see how these progress for you...

I think you asked about feeding the plants additional as they were yellowing faster than you had expected or would have desired...in another thread.

Care to address that here?

Well things are coming to an end with this run. It's definitely had a lot of ups and downs. Started off great and then halfway through flower I started getting massive yellowing of leaves and lots of them started falling off. I thought I just didn't mix enough food in the soil so I started adding pure blend pro whenever I went there, but it didn't really help.

Now I realize it's probably because of the serious lack of rainfall this year. I ended up having to hike water up to these girls twice a week and still it just wasn't enough they were always very thirsty. Reason I now know it wasn't the mix is because I have another patch in a swampy area that were in the same mix and they flourished. I love this spot though, I'll have to prepare a water catch next year.

Funny thing is, now that it's raining pretty much every other day round here, they're finally starting to green up lol.

So, they're a bit skimpier than I would like, but still real pretty, and the whole point of this run was more to pheno hunt than anything else which I've been able to do and there are some killer phenos here.

All this rain has been good in the sense that they've got more energy now to have a strong finish. Little bit of bud rot found today but it's been very minimal.

I took my camera today and after about 10 shots I realized that I'd forgotten to charge my battery and it shut off. Nice! Well I think it's for the better though cause it was real sunny so most of my shots were bleached out by the sun, or too dark when I attempted to shadow them. Tomorrow is supposed to be cloudy so I should be able to get some nice shots and then I'm gonna start harvesting.

Beautiful colors on every single one of them and a wide range or berry profiles ranging from sweet berry, musky, fermented, skunky, and straight up pure berry.

Here's a little preview with a few shots that I managed today. There will be many, many more in the next few days.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of it!

How'd things work out with your F2 male?

The F2 male stud I collected pollen from but haven't managed to get any cuts of. Cloning in the bubbler doesn't work as well in the summer for me with the temps so high. There's still one more that's been in there for a while I'm hoping will make it. All the new cuts I'm taking from stuff indoors are rooting well though so we'll see.

Didn't hit any of the females yet with him but I did pollinate a bud on my ECSD. Should be a nice cross. Next round with the females I have cuts of I'll make F3's and probably offer some up for the server fund if there's any interest.

Also a lot of these girls got pollenated unfortunately from several males of different strains I had out there that I didn't manage to get out in time. Thinking of maybe sending some in to offer as freebies. Although they're a mix there should be some nice crosses. The biggest males were Silver Mountain from Bodhi and a cross I did of Optimus Prime x Ewok from Alien Genetics. All the females from that batch I just harvested indoors and were frost covered with a heavy tangerine funk from the Albert Walker (or Dago maybe?) in the Ewok. There was also a Blue Lotus male from Bodhi, Sour Diesel Mix x Snow Lotus from Bodhi, and a Whitaker Blues F2 male but those were all pretty small and dropped less pollen.

Anyway, I'm sorting through pics now so should be able to get some up real soon.

OK so here's the first round of pics. It'll take me a couple days to get to all of them. I didn't manage to take notes on most of these yet but I haven't harvested so I'll update next time I'm there.

Group 1 - Starting at the front left, we have #1,# 5, G, #11, and #2

This was the lightest yielding of the 3 groups. The brush directly in front of them grew a lot this summer and shaded them for part of the day. My favorite pheno is in this group.

This is my favorite out of all the F2's. She's got rock hard buds and a super sweet berry smell that's better and louder than all the others. Don't have cuts but I'm gonna take all the lowers and throw them in the bubble cloner. I just got an outdoor azure haze cut taken last week to root a couple days ago, so I'm very hopeful for at least one or two from this girl to sprout legs.

Nice project scrappy

What did the mother plant on page 1 smell like?

I'm just trying some of these seeds now.

Thanks.

Thanks Quokka. The mom had a lot of sour bubble influence. She had a mostly blueberry dessert nose with pungent lime undertones. Miss her. I was hoping to find something similar in her offspring. Unfortunately that didn't happen.

I found several nice females though which I'll be making F3's with. In my journal thread I'll show some pics of them when they go into flower in a couple weeks. Maybe I'll throw some up here as well. I saved #13, 15, and 11 to work with. 11 was my favorite and 15 was the biggest yielder of the 3. All have a similar smell. All those girls were horribly seeded unfortunately so this round I'll get a better idea what they're all about.
