Yeah, #14 - if it has the double serrations, is much more likely to have that strong digi terpene profile...it's a clue to keep an eye on such plants - guess it holds true again.
Sounds like you've got one worth keeping above the others then for sure - smell is usually a pretty good indicator...and one that is hard to ignore. ![]() dank.Frank

Theyre all really nice plants scrappy. I was leaning towards #14 too - mostly based on posts about male selection by DF. The overlapping leaflets and node spacing mainly as I cant get a smell rubbing my screen.

The problem is, most people try to rub the screen in a horizontal fashion. The trick is to do little counter clockwise circles over the pics. It might not seen like it's working at first, but Just keep doing little circles. You'll be rewarded with sweetest blueberry dank smell.
-looking forward to watching these flower! -gil |

Yeah last time I made it there a couple days ago it was just too dark to take any decent pics. And my camera apparently broke somehow, it takes pics but the lcd screen is black so I can't see what I'm shooting. I got a backup camera but from what I remember it's not as easy to take decent shots with. I'm gonna head over there today with it and hopefully get something decent to show. They've grown a lot.

Oh, so it's like a film camera now...ROFL. That used to be part of the fun of taking pictures - the unknown and waiting for developing to find out exactly how good the shots were.
Although, you probably don't have a view finder on your broken digital. We'll be here. Looking forward to the update. dank.Frank

Been trying to get some decent pics up, but the last few times I managed to get to the garden it was just too darn late. Today I got there just before sunset. So I snapped some night shots.
I love this spot. It's off a remote road by a reservoir and there's lots of trails around. People park all along the road to hike or walk their dogs so I just park and pretend to be a hiker. This is on a vacant lot that's all grown over. 45 degree incline the whole way which sucks when you're having a dry ass summer like I am. I pretty much just pack 3 gallons of water in my pack every time I go here. It gets great sun from about 8am-4pm. Neighbors are actually real close just a few hundred yards away but there's a curve in the road and plenty of dense foliage so no one can see me entering. I just gotta be quiet. People will walk, jog, and moutainbike along the road, and the neighbors like to garden in the morning which is the only time I can be discovered. Gotta start going at sunrise again it's so much better. Anyway, here's a few shots from tonight. They were all looking a bit hungry so I top dressed with some bat guano. This group was mostly the single cola Carolina Blue phenos. I topped them a few weeks ago which helped them branch out a bit. They're the smallest out of the bunch. This is the group labeled A-E (E turned out to be a she-male and was replaced with #25). Didn't get a great shot the back 2 are shaded but all together it's actually a pretty good sized bush. These are all in 17 gallon smart pots with the bottom cut out and lined with a cage on the inside. Basically swamp tubes, minus the swamp And here is the final group which looks like it's gonna yield the best. 1 gallon jug for size comparison. The smaller plant to the right is a chocolope which also does real well outside 'round these parts. By the time I left it was pitch black and I forgot my headlamp, so I got to stumble around blind in the woods for a while. Next time I'll aim for sunrise and get some better pics up. |

Got a couple pics of my keeper male #14
Wish I had taken more pics of him in daylight cause these night pics do him no justice, but he's about to drop pollen so I had to cut them branches that night and bring them home to collect it. He had to get chopped in half a couple weeks ago cause he was just too big for that little 1/2 gal pot he's in and needed water daily. Took the entire top half home to make cuttings with, so he's gonna be around for a bit. This is what was left. Still plenty of pollen that's mos def gonna get thrown around with my stable of females back home, as well as all the keeper females from this batch. Still smells by far the best. Dank pungent skunky blueberry funk. |
