New record shark caught in Florida

Check out this big som-bitch.

This guy caught it with rod-n-reel.
I've caught a few larger than this, but it wasn't with a fishing pole. Long-line and a 12gauge.
And to fend off the animal rights activists....
I have since mended my ignorance toward nature and don't do that anymore.

Oh! LOL! I didn't even see the head part. Now I see that it's a hammerhead. Where was this shark caught at? I used to live in the keys and there was a legend or tale of a giant hammer head shark that roamed between Marathon and Bahia Honda Key. They called him Big Moe. Fishermen used to tell stories about this shark. Could this be the famous Big Moe.

I am disgusted

A horrible loss of a majestic animal and king of the sea

How many years do you think it took nature to create such a beautiful and majestic animal, and how can we possibly replace it

We are killing the seas... dumping all kinds of harmful shit and fishing much faster, more deadly, without care... than the seas can ever recover and reproduce

This kinda shit, ignorance and selfishness is descipicable, and disgusts me to no end

Here is a better picture.

I agree that we are killing our oceans. I saw it first hand. I am also guilty.
I'm not promoting the killing of these creatures, just brings back old memories.

This pic should make everybody feel better.

Damn, what a catch! Looks like some damn good eatin' Gotta love fishing in FL. If only I had a pole & line rated for more than 25 pounds, I'd be going for bigger fish....Nothing wrong with Flounder and Sheepshead and Snapper and such, however, they're damn tasty fish.

Sharks are my favourite animal of the lot. I used to be right into surfing and I still have nightmares about the fins that would cruise up and down the reef we would surf. They were not interested in us what so ever just the australian salmon that were schooled up about 20 metres behind the take off spot. They are gracefull, lethal and perfectly evolved and they are a absolute pain in the arse when you are fishing and they take your bait and you hook them in the mouth instead of them biting you off.
