I was in the 6th week of flowering 16 Female seeds indoor mix and one plant started producing male flowers very quikly and then to my horror all 48 plants in my grow showed seeds on the buds especially the plants in front of the circulating fans.I immediatly shut all three fans off and i,m deciding whether to cut everything down early to salvage my crop.I,m never trying this again growing from female seeds until i,m positive the seeds are 100% female. Obviously they are not.I,m going back to clones.

sorry to hear about that man, female seeds themselfs I believe do say that their seeds are like 99.9 percent female cause there still is that little .1 chance of turning hermie or developing a male flower I think if i remember correctly. I've only had good expierence with them though no male or hermies ever, and you say that every single one of your 49 plants turned hermie? that really sucks.

I know the odds are pretty low to get male flowers they claim but it happened to just one plant which infested every other plant in my grow room.Female Seeds has a saying they use on their homesite. They say a male flower might appear on your plants."don,t panic, just harvest".Well i,m harvesting all right.Two weeks early and the whole batch is turning to seed.Its just too risky to grow Female Seeds beans until you know for sure its 100%.Then i will cut clones from it and test them out.Until then i,m buying standard packs of seeds and sexing them the old fashioned way.

Not discounting the posters story, but why is it that posters with less then 5 post count are the only ones with hermie storys and no pics or logs for proof?

i have also hermi problems. Im growing 6 GF and 4 C99. (day 24 of 12/12)

3 C99's are/were hermie(i have killed them before 2 days), they first started to make male balls on main stem, and after 2-3weeks of 12/12 alot of male balls started grow also on side branches

The other 7 plants are showing only female flowers, I check them every day for 30min.

I'm sure i not stressed the c99 more that the GF, and i nerver had lightprobs/leaks.

I probably will also go back on standard seeds for next grow, thats a lot of work to check everyday the plants for male balls. Or maybe try an other Female Strain like GF, but nomore feminised

I've read bad stories on the C99 too.. Cant really say coz i didnt grow it myself, but what i do know is GFruit is the bomb!

Thats the risk that you take starting with female seeds. In my opinion, for them to hermie that late in to flowering it was bad conditions and not the beans. Did you have any light leaks? What were your temps like? Hydro or soil?

It's funny to me that the reputable growers from here and other boards who have grown female seeds numerous times and posted nicely detailed grow logs never had a single hermie problem.
Then the 1-10 post count handles outta no where throw up a post stating -- "I grew 20 special skunk plants, all were hermies, crop lost, my dog died and my house burnt down. I won't ever grow FST Seeds again!" with no proof, logs, pics or otherwise legit means of proving said malicious, damaging and potentially business harming claim.

I'm growing of Female Grapefruit and C99 know at first i thought i had some males but they were female pods some times people mistake them as male that just my two cent
