to dry or not before trimming
Hey all,
Was wondering if there's any difference between trimming nugs as soon as you chop or letting them dry first. Ive done both, only advantage i see of drying first is that the leaves are much easier to trim. I've also heard that the leaves dry and "lock" in aroma/scent or whatever, dont know howmuch trues lies in there though. What do you guys think? Thanks rdy |

i find it much easier to trim them when wet. gives a tidier nugget in my experience. it does make sense, however, that to get the most from the plant it's best to leave it intact as long as possible. i chop mine up and trim them before i dry. this gets them done in a reasonable time. leave the plant intact and it will take a lot longer. which many say is better for the smoke, but cos i haven't done them whole i can't compare. the cure affects the taste and aroma more than the dry does.

Trim. Then dry.
Especially if you want to make good hash. |

i've done it both ways and altho it much easier to trim wet, i think it's better to trim dry. reason being is that the plant doesn't die as soon as it's chopped down, death takes a while.
by hanging the whole plants until dry, they can continue to move sugars from the leaves to the buds. |

I see what you mean. But what would it matter if the plants are already mature for harvesting?
And I do not thing that any sugars would be moved if they are being dried in the dark, like they should be. |

trim then dry, if u leave it untrimed and then u trim when u pull off the leaves u break open the resin glands

Yeah I've worked with both and recommend first do the trim-job then let the buds dry for the same reasons as ^ You get the most potent buds then
