HEY BREEDERS - why no library of pheno pics - Seed Boutique - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

To Whom it May Concern-

It would be greatly appreciated if you would maintain a library of pictures of known phenos for a strain. Make it complete and easily accessible. I know that Mandala provides good info on phenos, but their image gallery requires Adobe and not accessible on my IPhone. So that was almost helpful. I know that some sites request users post pheno pics in their site's forum sections. That is not adequate. It needs to be easy to access and organized w relevant info. Why don't you do this already? I was looking for pics of a Jack Herer pheno from Sensi and Krystalica from Mandala and never did find pic of what I needed. Though it exists at Mandala just not accessible for me. Seed finder is often helpful but not concise or complete. Breeders should already have photos of known phenos. Please organize and share these

I find it easier and more rewarding to just grow the plants and experience the phenos myself.

Yes but it makes planning difficult. Also how variable is strain.

This sounds like a good idea! Almost like a box of baseball card packs. They tell you wich ones are the special ones and you go thru packs hoping this one is the one...

It's a very good idea, but some (if not most) breeders would require 12 times the server's available bandwidth in order to post that many pictures per strain.

ok so subcool has 30 strains each with 3+ phenos. my flaming cookies had 6 dif females lol.

You cant expect much phenotypic stability when your just smashing together 2 ploy hybrids.

GreenGhost420- are you saying the hundred or so pictures is too many? Optimize the pictures, use the cloud and no big deal. Of course breeders could better stabilize the lines and require less bandwidth. I am just saying it would be a good resource for many reasons and initially the breeders would be the only ones in possession of info. Moreover it naked sense that the info would be located on breeders sight. They could just say something like F1s with no idea of outcome rather than pictures. I find good pictures of a pheno I'm growing to be a wealth of useful info. That's why grow logs are cool, but they are optimal for quickly locating the info and also breeders should be responsible for accurate info like phenos as best they can.

thats because most "breeders" are not real breeders, just pollen chuckers trying to cash in on hype and ignorance.

theres only a few breeders out there who actually even post pics of the females they use, let alone the males, and let alone phenos!!

if some of these pollen chuckin hacks posted pics of what phenos to expect out of their latest sour cookie kush killer kyrptonite than most people wouldn't even buy!

i dont even sell seeds and even i have the ability to post pics of random phenos that come out of my creations, so its utterly pathetic that most breeders have like 40+ strains for sale yet only have a handful of pics.

usually ill go troll the breeders forums and test grow sections to find info.... I thought thats what everybody did... depending on popularity there is usually at l3ast 1 grow of each strain a breeder has and you can follow along till they suddenly stop and disappear from the face of the earth

funny how many quit postin, think paranoia sets in...
