Hermie issues with mextiza

I have 6 healthy female mextiza's about 2 weeks into flowering, all but 1 plant are throwing out bananas from the bracts, where you normaly find the 2 pistils at preflower! I am removing the male flowers as best i can but i am wondering if they will show up in the buds themselves ? Any input would be great

what i do is,, keep popping them off and trim the bottom 1/4 of the lower branches nodes off as well, then keep on growing her, if you see any balls higher than half way up the plant you should get rid because then it might throw out balls higher up than that and be a stronger hermaphroditic specimen.

My guess is that it will only be on the bottom 1/3-1/4 of the plant where they will appear and is why i often remove all the lowest nodes like i say, that would only make low quality popcorn anyway..

Hi
Well it does not sound promising. Being genetic somewhat sensitive to excesses Ill suggest to take off those flowers and keep plants slow in nutes to see if is been just an specific problem or they want to go crazy
Pls let us know also in private if doesnt go well
best luck

They are regular seeds. So far it seems under control, no more have developed! But I will be keeping a close eye on them

Happens often with sativas so stay calm and keep an extra eye on them. This is common with sensitive tropical genetics, you can keep that one separate in case the male flowers are fertile (we don't want it to pollinate the other 5 plants).

You never know how that smoke will be either, don't ask me why but more than once the hermies ended being the best ones so don't rush on chopping those if you can keep them in quarantine until chopping time!

I was thinking about trying to create the ultimate Mexican sativa throwback with a short flower and long duration I think it's do able considering most of the heavy hitters has a little mex in there backround...
