retardo montebon he's an old ic head responsible for grom and bkgk, among other gems. I know frank and phil have found and worked with exceptional specimens from RM's crosses.
I thought this might be a good place to ask about the future of those lines.

It sure would be nice to get some of his beans back around again. Wish I was on IC when he was letting things out. Seen so much dank from his gear, wish i could get a crack at it

I just popped six of my ten Grom Bx1's. 100% germination rate. I'll let everyone know once their well on their way. They are all above soil and have shed their shells and membranes, no problems.
I have a pack of Retardo's ECSD x F13 in the seed jar that I've been dying to get into! Peace, KF

I have a stash of Retardo beans...however, I won't be working with them. Retardo got highly offended and upset when I released the BKGK Bx1 to everyone - and hasn't spoken but a handful of words to me since...
Honestly, my only regret about having started Stank Bros is the loss of that friendship. It was truly an oversight on my part...but mistakes have consequences. I've been living with that. We had discussed the expressions surfacing, the breeding plans, working the line, etc. The public release crossed an invisible line I didn't know existed. --------------- FWIW - GROM did NOT come from Retardo. GROM - Grape Romulan x Purple Indica - came from Greyskull. Retardo worked the GROM cut to his Grape Krush male - same male used in the BK x GK. Those BKGK seeds were sent to the site as FREEBIES with purchased orders. I intentionally sought them out as freebies and so did Phillthy. If not for Phillthy finding the "BKGK" cut he did - that particular seed line would have just been resting on a shelf getting zero attention. Because that cut surfaced when Phillthy sorted the seeds - it encouraged others to explore the line for potential, including Retardo himself. For that reason, because the BKGK was Phillthy's find - it made sense for the people who had it the longest to work it. We held that cut for over 3 years before we EVER put pollen to it. That's patience. Many people held the BKGK cut but didn't keep it for whatever reason. I honestly think that cut is lost / extinct now. I've tried tracking her down on several occasions but either get no reply or it's a true dead end. I wish I wouldn't have gotten sucked into seed politics and should have kept working the cut - because now.... dank.Frank

ouch sounds like a sharp learning curve!
thanks for making the history clear, my apologies for the inaccuracies I posted. ![]() ugh phil's bkgk cut looked so so pretty! I don't wish to step on anyone's toes or encourage any toe stepping in general, but as a relative newb I sure wish I could have gotten familiar with some of these RM lines. hats off to RM wherever he is for his work. and Phil, master of selections. and frank, who keeps history transparent.
