Breeding to make a photo an auto. What strain?

Ok..say I have a good cbd strain (photo) that I would like to make an auto.My main objective would be to make the cbd strain auto flowering, all the while adding as little of the autos "makeup" as possible? What strain would you use?(as long as it were available somewhere of course).

i would find a photo strain that has, or is prone to, flowering when root bound.

this makes me to think of sweet tooth since it was known for showing that trait. i have no idea what % CBD is in swt, unfortunately.

Maybe you misunderstood me antheis.I already have the photo period plant that i want to turn to auto.

What I am asking,is what auto to do the breeding with?I need a strain that I could use to change my photo to an auto, but add as few other traits as possible.

A) To avoid the need to select for two traits, take a CBD auto (like a 'ruderalis' if there are no commercial varieties; I don't know that)
B) Do several back-crosses: that means cross the F2 showing autoflowering and homozygous CBD to the 'photo parent' (In case you didn't know: autoflowering is a recessive trait and CBD co-dominant/intermediary and that's why you need to do a lot of F2's to obtain pure autos with only CBD)
C) Ask again in the auto forum, you may have better chances there
D) I'll going to do something like that with a Finola (CBD and very early to autoflowering with a rather dominant inheritance of early flowering but as it seems unfortunately also all the other things). It's a fun project because hemp varieties tend to decrease cannabinoid content in the offspring dramatically; that's maybe why there are so few high CBD varieties out there and why it took so long to establish useful autos??
E) Take a 'super auto' (by Flash seeds), they are closer to 'normal' cannabis and maybe influence your CBD parent less than those tiny lowryders and alike. But that's just an idea of someone who never had an auto growing apart from a few Finolas in a yoghurt cup .

Slim...
Here's an answer you seek...

I understand that lowryder has the qualities you desire.
However, I have no personal experience with Lowryder.

I did, however, cross a killer Queen male with some Diesel Ryder plants that the F1 (all photo) turned out pretty darn good. In the F1 I think you would be wise to try & find CBD plant/s to continue to F2. Then from the F2 you should be able to lock down the auto flowering trait using plants that only auto flower (about 25%).

Only 1 problem w CBD plants...
To know what they contain they need to be tested by a lab. Otherwise you get what you get without knowing the thc/cbd content.

Slight addition to that; if you cross a 'THC auto' with a 'CBD photo' your offspring usually shows only plants with photoperiode and a ~1:1 THC/CBD content. No real need to test but still, there will be variations in cannabinoid content... I'd look just for good healthy plants for an F2. Now, in the F2, about 25% will be autoflowering and the rest will look like normals, though 2/3 carry the auto-gene and only 1/3 is purely photoperiodic. At the same time, 25% will be pure CBD, 50% 1:1 THC/CBD and 25% pure THC. In other words, you expect (mathematically) 6.25% of the F2 plants to be pure CBD autos... not much! Eventually, just select for one or the other and do a back-cross to get the remaining trait .
