I guess you are refering to indoors under lights? Because I have seen greenhouses much much bigger, filled with Cannabis.
My greenhouse just used for R&D and breeding, is bigger then 50,000 sq/ft
I have had it for 20 years. I have had greenouses that were upto 200,000 sq/ft, one of several. Not for breeding....
I am not trying to rain on your parade, I wish you the best of luck,
I am just trying to show that there is little new under the sun.
I suspect the future is not under lights if the goal is cheaper Cannabis products for patients, you can produce the same quality in a greenhouse at a fraction of the price. You say $5 a gram, not really so cheap, WAMM sold their best for $1-$2 a gram.
"And Prairie Plant Systems has a plan for that already. Through its CanniMed subsidiary, the company says it will offer 3 different strains of cannabis at a price of $9-12 a gram. Those prices are about the same as what you find on the street or at non-authorized compassion clubs."

That, and what is the carbon footprint to do this? Or doesn't that matter?
Prairie Plant Systems (PPS) is the parent company of AMMCAN, they are not known for producing the finest Cannabis, are they? Are you concerned about them being your boss? And what about your "run my company with a not for profit model" is that up in smoke now that you are a small cog in a big wheel?
The 100-150 new hybrids are any true breeding or are they all varieties that you grow and then buy more seeds to grow again? Or you can make a clone if you want. You know that I like open pollinated true breeding varieties, but not many breeders like to produce them as it is so easy for other breeders to use them to make their own F1 hybrids.
My only advice is only do what you enjoy, and nothing lasts forever so do it while you can.
All the best,
-SamS

there is a ton of room to expand. they have put aside 50,000 sq/ft for my continued breeding and r/d which i will also be overseeing

If my employee's at the "pot shop" didn't test positive...I'd assume they were there for the paycheck. Not the best interest of the company or the recipients of said goods.

420 wouldn't be a hippy thing...it would be a mandatory smoke break at my shit.

hey sam

thanks for popping in.

my creations are to be judged by the people consuming them. they are who i cater to.

i would love to see the license from your sites that are licensed by the gov't and export import. i dont know, but up until recently, and onl;y in select coubtries has pot been tolerated, we cannot compare the old age with the nbew one

plus, you are talking to a guy that would kept the skunk in skunk weed, not bred it out. so we may have some differing views on our respective practices.

whenever you want your real skunk and its trade mark to live on through a licensing agreement please feel free to pm me

as far as carbon footprints are concerned. i dont buy into al gores church of socialism and taxing our breath, but i also think people can believe in whatever they like.

hey blueberry

upper management is avery professional team. i doubt anything that effects the whole negatively would be tolerated. we have an objective and take it very seriously, esp on the production end of things
