Here's my deal. When I was a teenager I noticed that other dudes would brag about " I drank 12 to 24 beers today to get my needed buzz. They were binge drunks. I on the other hand, along with some friends would smoke some Mexi and drink maybe 4 or 6 beers and be pleasantly buzzed, not fall down drunk. I kept this approach all through high school, college and my adult life. When I became upset about paying $400 an ounce for cannabis and really pissed at the Mexican cartel for it's violent behavior, I promised myself I would never again buy their shit and grow my own. 35 years ago I did sprout one thai stick seed that grew to 5 feet as a female, then the fucker hermied on me. 7 years ago came the exposure to this site and the other flaming one I left to learn how to grow and with what equipment/supplies. I have not looked back and will never stop as long as I'm alive. Hell, I have lived long enough to see Peter Tosh's song come true in CO and WA. Never thought it would happen in my lifetime with our fucked up political/DEA bullshit. My jars are full and curing with stuff that beats the hell out of the commercial ganja around my parts. Hello all,
To have stash when ever I want without the need to pay somebody for it. Since I started growing my own...not a dime has gone to any grower or dealer. Phuque them, I don't need them. That is the best reason ever. minds_I

I support the idea of retail weed, however, as an integral & necessary part of legalization. It's great, particularly for casual tokers & tourists, just so long as I can grow my own in peace as an alternative. |

for me its not just the end results
but i would be lying if i didnt say when the results of all that time and effort are good, its great. It also therapeutic not just smoking but growing it, helps with stress in both ways. For me being a 3rd generation grower in the family make me feel good keepin it a going.....an for its medical ben'ies.
also its great socially, tell me who going to pass one a round and then want to punch one another in the head..IMO in truth alot more people should partake in growing/smoking, again IMO |

I like the growing, but I really like trying new techniques and playing with toys and at one time automation and such. And playing with concentrate techniques requires starting material. It makes me feel like the scientist that I once thought I would be.
It's not about money or availability, but I don't miss drug deals at all. And even though I have never sold any pot, I do get favors in return for helping out my close circle of friends. |
