with carbonated water add positive CO2 to your grow? Just a random thought....

No, if so minimal effects. The part of the plant that takes in CO2 is the leaves. The undersides to be more specific. If you water your plants be it soil or hydro its just gonna stay in the pot/bucket. And since its heavier than air it weights itself down. I have heard of people using it as foliar sprays tho. Not sure on the results. But as most say around these parts K.I.S.S.=Keep It Simple Stupid.

would probably do more harm than good.
as blatant mentioned, co2 is heavier than air. i would think that it would displace oxygen at the rootzone. oxygen is to the roots as co2 is to leaves.
i don't speak from experience on this one though, but would not recommend it

MMM, that's a thought but you know they make Co2 tablets for hydroponic systems, you just drop a tab into your res so I wonder why a root system can't take in co2...?

As for carbanated soda it is likely that the plant would pull threw but the ingreadients that are in the soda would probly make them sick.

I don't think those tablets are meant to be used in a res. You add water to them and they release CO2 the ones I've seen come in this bucket with holes and you add some water to that.

U can get C02 tabs for the resv but i dont know how effective they are.

When we use C02, it's done simply by shooting a paint ball gun into the room several times and sealing the room for a while. Seems to work.

In the big book of buds - K C Braines recommends this to get CO2 to the roots !

I also looked this up in Rob Clarke - not much info - but he does say that some CO2 is required for root development and growth
(admittedlly in the clones section)

I guess the best way would be a controlled experement - has anyone got a cheap supply of sparkling water !!!!?

Has anyone tried this already ?
