Future FL caregiver looking for info
So it looks like FLs gonna be medical soon so I'm looking to become a caregiver, I've read through the bill a bit but still need some info on how I could go about getting my license once this thing passes. Any help would be much appreciated.

not sure what you have read but it would help if you elaborate a bit and maybe link or state the exact bill or ballot initiative you are referencing.

Its not a law yet, so its all speculative at this point.
AFAIK with all other medical states, the patient comes first, and they can write someone in on their paperwork/state form as caregiver/grower. So you need to find a patient first.

hazy,
there are a few threads about the subject but in short there is an initiative that will be voted on in nov but no regulations are written but it does not allow a patient to grow......this is what Mr. Morgan and UFC is pushing. there was a bill that didn't do anything last year but it has been re submitted and it allows a patient/caregiver to grow and it established plant limits. it also outlines regulations for ag farms and dispensaries. a republican CBD bill is getting fast tracked thru and from what I have read it allows patients to grow no/low thc plants and it also appropriated 1 mil. to cannabis research for approved research facilities.

I look forward to more updated as this progresses. I have family in Florida and would love a business there in mmj. I hope the rules/regs allow cultivation for centers, patients and caregivers.

Bill on the ballot is a "no grow" bill, and the governor, Rick Scott, is against it. I doubt very seriously that this bill will pass. Remember, Florida has a high population of elderly, and they will not vote for it. Additionally, north-western Florida is heavily populated with evangelical Christians who vote conservative and will not be supporting any bill regarding cannabis. Note also that the deck is stacked against us, as there is a 60% requirement for passage. With that stipulation, I don't see any way it will pass. Also, there is a 5 patient limit. Stupid.
