Panama & Colombian Gold
Greetings all, I'm wondering how close my Panama(CBG) and Colombian Gold(World Of Seeds) are to harvest. The Panama is on Day 78 and the Colombian Gold is on Day 62. Also have a few others late flower. Incredible Bulk(Dr.Krippling), White Widow(G13), Liberty Haze(Barney Farms) and Mango Haze(CBD Crew). Showing some Mango Haze photos for those interested in CBD. Sorry if my photos aren't the best. Thanks.

Nice plants Doc, I'd let em go till you don't see a lot of white flowers. I just harvested a 17 week Panama from CBG and it's GREAT!
Let us know how the WOS Colombian Gold turns out, smoke wise. She looks beautiful.

do you harvest these long flowering sativa's according to trichome color? or do these specifically hav a maturation process to look for? with my hybrid growing, i look for mature looking buds, but finalize the judgement by trichome color

Aye Randy, thanks. They both are still producing white pistils just less and less. I'm guessing 2 or 3 more weeks for both. Hoping for 2 beautiful smokes. Will give detailed smoke reports once finished.

Hola Dr.King,
Randy is right, and also keep in mind that long flowering sativas have multiple flowering windows where the white pistil production ebbs/flows; usually 5-6. When you notice no more white pistils forming after about 3 weeks then it is usually time to cut ![]() Also agree with Randy...the Columbian Gold and Panama look Great...keep doin what you are doin! and they just kept on going and going. The first time I grew the Panama, same cut, I did it outside and it looked pretty done at the end of October, and the finished herb was real good, but no where near as good as when I let her keep going. She developed much better, more complex flavors and stronger high. Also yield went through the roof, because the chains of pistils just get longer and longer. Again, can't say it enough, be patient and steady as she goes, they are looking great. You will love the results more when it's finished properly even though it seem like forever sometimes. I am smoking some right now, love it, and have a couple more going in the oven, don't want to run out.

Update, took a sample of the Columbian Gold. Day 66 trimmed an drying, we tired some. Very floaty and stuck in place with eyes wide open. Still has quite a bit longer, planning to harvest both simultaneously. WOS has Columbian Gold listed as 10 weeks. I'll be pulling her week 14.
On another note, after grinding up the Columbian it had tons of small brown specks mixed in. These brown specks can only be seen if the bud is ground up. Never seen this in any other bud, couldn't find anything on the net about it. Maybe it's regional? I alway check the calyxes, they look beautiful. Any ideas? Thanks. |

-How did your Columbians turn out? Was there any sandlewood smell to the flowers at all?
