Hey everyone


Just thought id share some pics from my trip to jamaica last year. I went with 4 other friends and we stayed in a little farm and fishing village in treasure beach. The villa we had was a beautiful open air style house with a built in pool. Walk a few steps down the hill and you are on the ocean. Absolutely stunning!! The house came staffed with a very good cook named polly who kept our bellies full with jamaican food and a caretaker named lancel. Lancel knew everyone in town and was a big help on steering us to the the right people to take us on some adventures.

The pot in jamaica was EVERYWHERE. From right in the airport parking lot we scored our first low grade bag. But being heavy smokers we were just glad to have something right away...lol. Aftr that we just kept asking for better and better untill by the end of our trip. The last bunch we bought was more than an ounce and was about 17 dollars american....lime green..few seeds...my own is slightly better id say than this was but for the price? id buy this anytime.

We met the local ganja man who was very cool and brought us to one of his fields. He took great pride in his 100 or so plants and told us about the different varieties he was growing. We stayed for about 2 hours eating fruit and smoking with this man. He liked telling us about his rasta beliefs and how he grows all his own foods and gives anything extra to others.

I know certain parts of jamaica are dangerous for tourists but this area is very safe. I felt the locals were all very helpfull and friendly and the few times i did feel uneasy it turned out just to be me being uptight in a strange place. I loved treasure beach and hope to one day return and find it unchanged. Its jamaica at its best.

These brownies were cooked for us on our request by polly. These were NO JOKE. We were tripping hard for 4+ hours and then i slept for about 17 hours straight..lol . I thought i was gonna die. I couldnt walk straight, couldnt talk in sentences, could barely keep my eyes open. i wont mess with the ganja cake no more...lol

That sounds like you had a great trip Scorp. I too would like to one day visit the island of jamaica...I've always wanted to sail there.

Nice pix man. Haven't been to jamaica yet but was able to try some nice buds out from there. It didn't look that great but got us wasted thats forsure. A true Sativa cerebral high was very nice change from all the indi's usually going around. Great bud shots.

yeah none of the bud we tried blew our sox off but for under $20 a oz. we weren't complaining. i think a lot of the plants they had growin in the field i saw were mixes of indie and sativa. But i did see some sativas that were much taller than me (6'4) and obviously way off from being ripe yet.this was one of many of the ganjamans fields.

He had told us they were gonna harvest most in that field the day after we saw it. I wish i could have helped that would have been cool. But he said they chop them and bring them further into the mountains to dry and process it for distribution.

This man was one of two growers i met on that trip and both were very friendly and were eager to show us all they knew about farming in jamaica. Both growers gave us a big branch off there crops for us to bring back to the villa for no money. now thats generosity !!

Looks like you had a great time man...I've never been.

I plan to sail to Jamaica in 2010 though.

holy crap I wish I could get an oz for 17 dollars. Buds look tastey, and Jamaica looks beautiful as always.
