Is it just me or does Bubba dominate in crosses? - Breeder's Laboratory - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

I had always heard that anything times Bubba seems to give you a Bubba-like plant in the end. I was just wondering if that was your observation to those that have run crosses of Bubba? And if true than why are there so many Bubba crosses on the market. Does it make a difference if the Bubba is the male or the female in the cross. Growing a cross of Bubba I accidentally made last round. The plants look exactly like Bubba, just more vigorous! Hoping for some influence on the bud structure and taste form the Tahoe OG x Skunk mother. Just something to chat about for those who have experience with Bubba crosses.

From my experience Bubba does seem to dominate, deep chunk is the same way.

The true origins of Bubba are unknown but due to the way it behaves in crosses and S1's I think it's most likely an inbred line of some sort.

OG kush is the same way, OG characteristics really shine thru in everything it's crossed to.

I usually prefer sativa over indica but I really like Bubba.

For sure the Bubba dominates, i would think it's an old hashplant or afghani line.

..I have several bubba hybrids on deck right now from seed.. it'll be interesting to see what they end up being..

.. would love a true bubba pheno .. As I don't think I've ever met the real thing

During flowering I can definitely see the OG x TO influence on the bud structure. Hoping the final product has some color like the Bubba with a extra saliva kick to the high. Only time will tell.

ive done a few bubba crosses and grown them out. it will generally dominate in a cross with a hybrid, but if you cross it with another ibl then it isnt so dominant.

i crossed Deep chunk with bubba and it came out a fairly even mix, but if anything the DC dominated.

I just made some bubba x pure thai and they are split right down the middle in looks.

I haven't flowered them out yet but Im hoping for bubba bud quality with better stretch and a more cerebral high.
