Dropped 6 Alaskan Thunder Kong seeds in water 3 days ago. All 6 went into a wet paper towel placed in a tupperware container and put into a drawer in my office. All 6 have .25" tails popping this morning and will go into the dirt today.

I'll post again in a few days (with pics!) when they are all above the ground. I'll be starting them off under a florescent light in a generic seed starter mix. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to use the same Floranova Bloom/Botanicare ReadyGro Aeration Mix that I have used for the last couple rounds once they are ready. Easy breezy.

Looking forward to catching up on everybody else's test threads. Keep it green Cannafornia.

Ok, so here we have the little babies starting off in a cup of water. I didn't ph the water or anything, just plain tap water. They popped their tails in about 24 hours and were moved into a wet paper towel. The seeds were very vigorous and had .5" tap roots by the end of day 2.

I went up to Home Depot and bought a little seed starter kit (I'm still looking for a lot of my gardening equipment after moving ) and planted the little babies in the seed starter mix. A couple days later and everybody was above ground.

I lost one of the little ones to some sort of fungus/mold. Probably from the cheap HD seed starting mix. Here are the other 5 after they were transplanted into 5" pots of coco/perlite. I'm feeding Floranova Grow at 1/4 teaspoon per gallon at 6.0pH. I'll make adjustments as they grow up a little bit.

Fast forward a couple weeks and these teens are ready to flower. I have been out of town for work the past couple weeks and have a friend maintaining the plants. I had 1 that was a litte runty and it was tossed outside with my tomatoes and peppers.

You can see the remaining 4 in the pics below. I flipped the light this week, so I'll take them out of the tent next week for individual shots in the bathtub where I can get better light, etc. I'll try to keep the pics coming weekly now that we are getting into flowering.

These have been super easy so far. I'm using 1 tsp of Floranova Bloom per gallon and 1/4 tsp per gallon of Floralicious Plus between 5.8 and 6.2 pH. I put together a rigged drain to waste system and they are being fed twice a day for 15 seconds.

Thanks for stopping by, Dog. Looks like my 4 survivors are all ladies!

I'm pretty sure the runt was from the cheap soil. It looked like the first set of true leaves was burned from the mix and it never got going.

As I said in my previous post, the 4 that made it are all ladies! These pics are at 25 days. 2 of them stretched right into the light and burned the shit out of the tops. I cut the tops off the 2 of those and left the other 2 untopped.

The lady on the left is much more stout than the other 3. The 2 in the middle are the stretchers that got chopped, and the lady on the right is somewhere in between.

I have backed off the feeding quite a bit. They are really dark green and have little burn on the tips. I'm at .5 tsp/gal right now and will start going back up if I see any fading.

As you can tell by my post frequency, I don't have a lot of time these days for the garden. These ladies are on autopilot and doing great. I'm looking forward to see the buds take shape over the next few weeks.
