Black screen and mouse only

So I had an annoying piece of malware on my computer for about a month, which seemed to be internet explorer running in the backround under the process svchost, which there are like 20 with that name. I would hear random sounds playing every hour or so, half in german, half in english.. like goodday chap english. So I decided to do a system restore and just flash my computer. Being made by acer, you can do this without a disk by clicking alt/f10 at startup. Well the previous restart the computer lost power. So during the reboot, startup recovery kicked on and the computer did not like this. Now when you start it up, it shows the "starting windows" graphic. But when it comes to loading explorer, all I have is a black screen with a mouse. Safe mode is the same, and the keyboard does nothing. This is windows 7. If I were able to get a recovery dvd, would this solve me issue, or will I not be able to get to the point of reading the disk?

You should have a windows 7 disk, from which you can do startup repair. You should have gotten rid of the Malware as soon as you noticed it. You need to download anti malware software if it is not already installed on your PC. No matter what malware you have, it can be removed. If you have the name of the offending process, just Google it, and you will find the solution.
Malware you need:
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
Spyhunter 4.1
Hitman Pro 35
JRT
Rogue Killer
See this link for complete instructions, and why use Internet Explorer? It sucks! Get Firefox!

Took all day to figure out but I rebooted the whole computer and started fresh and haven't been on the net without a vpn besides downloading it. It is actually a nice warm cozy feeling having a totally clean computer with all of the security cranked up to an annoying 11. I have always been paranoid of big bro.

My Acer has Windows 7 on the hard drive. I think most computers bought these days come like that.

I had a hard drive crap out on a Hewlett Packard last year. Windows 7 "recovery" did absolutely nothing. I ended up buying a smaller hard drive cheap off ebay then loading a Ubuntu copy I had for an operating system. Runs like a brand new computer.

Complete restores suck, usually takes days to reload everything. You ALWAYS are going to lose something somewhere when you do that too but that seems the only way sometimes to really fix a screwed up computer

Putting Windows on the hard drives was a totally stupid idea. Making them more money was the primary goal doing that. WINDOWS SUCKS and so do all those big computer companies/thieves.

Yeah the hard disk has a partition containing windows 7 on the hd, but when I lost my reboot disk it sure came in handy. It only took about 5 minutes to wipe 900gb of my hdd, but like I said, it feels good having a totally clean computer when you post on sites like this.

seriously don't let any paranoid thoughts bother you.

you are so small scale and are not on their radar and pose no threat to toppling their world monopoly lol.. just get some free anti malware software and breath more comfortably, be happy.
