hello. can anyone provide me with any helpful information on these two strains? there's not much of a description on their webpages.

are these pure, 100% sativas with no indica/skunk/kush/afghani in them? they have a surprisingly short flowering time if they are. thanks!

They are by Original Delicatessen Seeds. Not much info on English forums about them, I think there is one thread on IC about them:

Hi there,

Indeed both are from Original Delicatessen strains and quite well known around Spain besides the underground nature of this small seedbank that CBG seems to be supporting and helping out a bit. Here's some info on the genetics:

Queen Mother = (unknown sativa from Spain x Zamal) x Congo1
Dream & Honey = Congo1 x Congo Banghi
Her Majesty = Queen Mother x Mexican 70s.
Alice = Queen Mother x Congo1
Lilly = Dream & Honey x Queen Mother.
First Lady = Mexican 70s (in theory gifted by Robert Clarke).
Edy = HH (north indian or pakistan strain?) x Congo Banghi
Upstream = Lilly x HH.

They are known because they are very fast finishers, frosty and pungent strains. In an inteview the breeder told about how he always chose the faster flowering and best plants for years until he got what he wanted. The lilly is renowned because of the pinneaple smell. Most are pretty stimulating and electric as well excepting the strains that have the relaxing HH and the Mexican strain, which tends to be warmer in effect and not so potent.

Actually according to someone closer to the breeders it's: Super Silver Haze X Queen Mother, lineage is fake.

By the way Reina Madre (Queen Mother) and Tijuana are both very well known and old sativa clones around Spain. So not super breeding involved I guess, like the rest of this seedbank that tries to take advantage on the legacy of the old Positronics and the spanish blooming cannabussiness... so watch out, they are just another of all those spanish greedy seedmakers selling low grade seeds at crazy prices while they barely do any breeding! We shouldn't feel represented by those spanish seedbanks but only by our great breeders lol.

But the funny fact is that it was Wernard Bruining himself who sold the seedbank for a good amount. Here you can see a rare picture of Wernard "passing down the rights" to use the name to Sebas, the spanish owner of the brand new Positronics.



Old Positronics was bankrupt in 96-97 and everything stolen by its own employees, who later started their own seedbanks with the material: Nirvana, High Quality Seeds and so on.

I was assuming the Tijuana and Mexican 70s were the same thing.
Think of getting some straight Reina Madre for doing some crosses.

That was a great suposition indeed!! But the Tijuana is a modern cut discovered in Madrid years ago. The true origins are unknown, some speculate on a mexican sativa strain or cross, while others on a Haze hybrid or clone from dutch origins. True or not, the cut is a reasonably fast and super sweet uplifting no-ceiling sativa, so it got spreaded quickly through many gardens around Spain!
