Thanks guys! My grow is wrapped up. I'm just concerned that if they do show up I have everything cleaned up; like making sure every dead leaf is removed; making sure the shop vac is cleaned... how many people forget about that? I have lots grow media, and gear. I guess that I'm fine as long as they find no plant material. Been wiping everything down with rubbing alcohol.

Should I dismantle my homemade tent? another reason just to buy one.

This is the reason, I'll probably make the switch to aeroponics for good. Water is much easier to dispose of.

Supposedly there is no thc in the roots, so even if they tested them under mass spec i dont think they can say it was cannabis. maybe if they did plant dna analysis, but i dont think your typical crime lab would do that and really would they bother?
But are you sure there's not a bit of dried leaf in there? Hopefully not anything they could identify and find.

But dirt plus roots prove that you had something growing. Lights and ventilation and pots and all that prove there was something growing also. But what is the question.

Even with straight aero or hydro, you still have root masses to get rid of. Sometimes a surprising amount of root mass, which when dried is hard as wood.
Still, you dont have a bunch of dirt or coco, but expect to still deal with at least 50% of the volume as before, only now you might need a saw to break it down.

Sorry about your significant other problems, it has brought many a man low, going back before the bible...

a black tarp and an enzyme product will make short work of those roots

They will not use roots against you. They are interested in plant material stems, leaves and buds. Even if they only find rootballs, there is no solid evidence how much plant weight was produced.
