Do you have two intakes? One for the flowering area at the bottom of the cab and another that the tubing to the light goes to? If this is the case, have you thought about removing the bottom tubing from the light to wherever it is connect to the cab? This would give you more floor space to flower. I'm just not really understanding the need for that tubing since you moved to vert. I would think only the top tubing is needed.

Thanks for the input blynx.

There are two 4" intakes at the bottom, neither are for the tube. The fan sucks air through the filter and pushes it down through the cool tube and then up out the back. Its the only way I could figure out how to use the carbon filter and keep everything in the cab.

I would say that if you don't need more floor space, and it's working for you, then it's probably no big deal. I can see how the bottom ducting would get in the way though if you needed to use bigger containers. But personally, my motto is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

A thought just occurred to me... If you did ever want to get that ducting out of the way... You might could attach the carbon filter to the ceiling, have the cool tube directly beneath that, and then the fan beneath the entire garden, blowing downward. You would then have to send that out of the cabinet, so that would require having enough vertical space to section off an area below the floor of the garden, where the fan would be.

I don't know if any of that made sense, but it could allow you to have just a single column going through the center of your garden, and not take up any floor space.

But still... If it works for you, there's nothing to change.

I like the input. Always good to have some other ideas.

I did try the method you said but there is not enough room for the filter and tube to stack. I also tried it below the cool tube.

I trained the plants to work all the way around the lamp so if this run doesnt pull well, I will go back to horizontal.

Here is one of the border haze that have popped..

The other three are having issues growing through the rockwool. Anyone recommend putting beans straight into perlite?

Also- the clawing that started on the other girls I came to conclud it is nitrogen toxicity. I ran almost a gallon of water through each container yesterday until they ran clear. Ill give another does of ph water tonight and feed half strength tomorrow.

Also I picked some of these up today. He said one of the 15mg pieces shpuld do the trick but I figured I had to get the 45mg pieces bar for fun too. Yum!

By far the most professional edibles I have ever seen. They won the LA Cannabis Cup 2013.

I tried rockwool for seeds a few times...
Had the worst results of all the methods I played with...
I believe due to holding the seedling too tight and IMO making it use it's reserve of energy trying to make it to the surface...
Even once it makes it above ground they tended to dampen off..

I try to start my seeds in whatever media they
are going to end up in... Try being the key word...

Im glad you mentioned the nitrogen toxicity,
looking issue... Golden 411... Looking like she real sensitive to N...
Wish I had noticed this earlier but that's
what these test are all about...
Interested to see who the RW works out for you and hope a lower N makes all the difference... Work some magic,bro...

Thanks man!

I put the seeds that were not coming out of the rockwool in perlite. If theres anything left in them this should work.

N toxicity is on the other ladies in the cab, the border haze is fine and unaffected.

Heres one from today. You can see the front right plant has the claw symptoms but it is slowly looking better.. the others seem to be recovering quicker.

The front right plant is the only one taking a while to recover. All other plants now have straight leaves THANK GOD. Going to feed them for the first time in days tonight. Normally I feed ALMOST every feeding. It has worked great my last few grows but this one things are a little more picky. I heard blueberry strains are though..

The front left plant is a chubby littler fucker. Great vigor. Cant wait to move these bitches out of the way and have some border haze taking their spot!
