Day 10 from seed
It's been 10 days since I sprouted my seeds(6days since they broke ground), and this is where I'm at. BOG, if you're out there, does this look about right?
While it's relatively empty, I'll include a few shots of the tent to give you all an idea of what I'm working with: Heres the left side. Intake ducting in the foreground, exhaust in the back. Here's the right side. Again, intake in the front, routed low to the corners. Exhaust in the back routed out of the tent. There's also a 16" fan on this end, but I had it taken apart for cleaning at the time of the pics. Like I said before: 2-1K hps primary lighting. 2-6" max fans for intake/exhaust, and a 16" oscillator for circulation. 8-13w cfls to light the "1" part of the 12/1 veg cycle. I'm experimenting with casters under my trays this run. Getting to the back has always been a PITA. I'm hoping I' be able to move the trays around without too much trouble now We'll see how it works out when the plants are in full flower. Thanks for the tip joe.

Nice and clean, great way for it to start.
Hope the tables helps. No elbow room, the bane of the tent grower. BOG knows who to put into a sticky, lolz...K+ on the space. Sprouts look fine to me. I start counting when they break the soil. |

Just water them and if one falls over just push some soil up around it. Don't let them dry out.
I get plants as wide as solo cups at about one week so you are pretty close to that. They look fine. In another week maybe 1/4 strength grow big but not yet.

I got a little paranoid last time I misted (about half fell over). I pushed some mix around the bases of the stems to hold them back up. I may water later today(no fert). These little suckers are way more fragile than I'm used to with clones.

Day 13 from seed
I'm at day 13 from start(day 12 from planting), and I just watered for the first time. About 3 cups/ 6"pot. They seem to coming along nicely. I'll be happy when they hit that "critical mass" point at 4-5 nodes, which is when seed plants seem to really take off. I'm more used to 3 node clones that take off immediately. Here's a pic of some babies and my "twin":

Babies from seed take a couple weeks to get rolling but seed plants make up for it in final yields.
Lots of experienced growers who have had access to clones avoid seeds but that's a mistake. It's especially a mistake for outdoor growers. Many outdoor growers have learned about the huge yields obtained from seed grown bushes. You see a seed has 25% more growth hormone than a cutting. Do the Math! I often get reports of plants over five pounds and the strains of mine that can do that are Bogglegum, Lifesaver, BMR and LSD. For indoor growers a little extra time and trouble doing some seeds is worth the effort. Not that you shouldn't clone for indoor or outdoor. Of course good selections should be saved and grown again as clones. Selecting your own moms makes you a real grower IMHO. So grow on Sir! Bog

Day 17...
Rolling right along. The babies are looking good. I've got nice thick roots coming out the bottoms of some of the pots already. I'm looking at watering again on friday. I'm thinking I'll give them Grow Big next time. What do you think BOG?
