Hey there EZ Rider, I hope you don't mind if I tag along. I have been watching BOG strains for years now, and I am very excited to see a multi-strain thread. Best of luck to you! I'm sending positive vibes to you and the sprouts

6 days from popping seeds(3-4 days in 6" pots), and ~85% of the sprouts have broken the surface of my mix. I only planted sprouted seed, so they should all pop up. We'll see what happens tomorrow. Haven't needed to water or mist yet. I'll start misting tomorrow. This will get more interesting once the plants start looking like something...be patient.

EZ
Do you think that you can give us some specifics on your garden space. Like the size of your veg/flower spaces and wattage of light used and type of light? Amount of airflow for space(s), sealed? Grow style? How long they will be vegged for? Not all gardens are alike. Results are going to differ. It would be a big help for me and others looking at BOG grows and results. Always nice not having to comb though pages to get that info when it's right on the front page. Kudos on the score. Hoping to see some dank in here. g/l |

All stages of growth will be in this tent, under the 1K('s). Hand watering in pots with organic ferts the whole way. Starting in 6" pots, finishing in 2-3 gal pots. I'm planning on 4-5 weeks veg before I flower, but the plants will make the final determination. I'm running a 12/1 light cycle in veg. It saves on electric, but more importantly for me, it eliminates the stretch one usually sees at the beginning of flower. Granger2 turned me on to this system, and after hearing his and others experiences, and doing my own research, I'm positive it will work just fine. What is 12/1? In brief: In a 24hr period, you turn on the light for 12 continuous hours, followed by 5 1/2 hours dark, then 1 hour light, then 5 1/2 hours dark, end of cycle. I use several 13w cfl droplights for the 1 hour "on" cycle to further save on electric and to avoid excessive on/off's for the hps lamps/ballasts. |

Just had a chance to look at the babies. Almost all have broken ground at this point. I'm keeping a close eye on the laggers.
On BOG's advice, I cracked the shells of the unsprouted seeds myself. 24 hours later, a few of the bogbubbles have sprouted tails, the rest are still duds. That bumps the bogbubble up to a 85% germ rate. I've got one pot with 2 sprouts. I'm pretty sure I didn't double plant. Anyone ever seen a siamese-twin plant? |

...for taking the time to post details, very helpful. Trying to glean that shit from a few pages of posts suck...So we're talking about having enough light and air flow for well developed plants, sweet. Yeah I'm familiar with the 12/1 lighting schedule and it's cost savings. On the fence about how it effects stretch. it will be nice to see how it turns out. I find that moving plants into flower in pots already full of roots does reduces stretch greatly as opposed to plants that still have room to spread out. My only wish is that you were growing these out in a somewhat bigger containers...bigger pots equal bigger plants, less numbers, which is important to me. But many ways to skin a cat and with a full canopy yields can be comparable. Organics...a man after my own heart. What are you using a base mix? Thanks for being so forth coming...respect...If you don't mind I'll stay for the ride and see how all this turns out. BOG stuff has always interested me, but the only grow I ever did of his was back in the overgrow days. My skill level was a factor and while it was good it wasnt a keeper. With so many people having success with the SB i'm looking forward to you growing these out in a proper setup. Wishing you the best on this run Joe . |

Happy to help. That's why I'm doing this thread ![]() I've never ran 12/1 before, but i've been advised that there will be little to no stretch when I switch to 12/12. Being in a tent can turn the stretch into a real PITA. I'd prefer larger plants and 5gal containers, but I need to keep a reasonable turn-around time on this project. Also want as large of a pool as possible/practical for my keepers. Pheno hunting 10 beans at a time could take forever. Once I've got the "one" or "ones", I'll go back to 6/light in 5gal containers. Probably take 2 cycles. I'm using sunshine #4 as my base. FF grow big in early veg, then earthjuice originals for remainder of cycle. Yeah, I know...bottles. I'm all for organic, but I'm all for convenience too. Feel free to stick around. Barring disaster, I'll be here till I've got a smoke report on these babies. I'm completely burned on "og" this, and "og" that. I'm really hoping BOG's genetics live up to their reputation. If I can get 1 or 2 true "keepers" out of the beans I've popped, I'll be stoked. FWIW, 30% of my babies are sb, so that's my most likely spot for a keeper. Any more questions about my grow, go ahead and ask... |

Day 8
It's been 8 days since I started my seeds, and I've already got a tiny forrest going.
I've been misting the pots to keep the surface from drying out, but I don't think I'll need to actually water until maybe wednesday. At this point 95% of the seeds have broken the surface. Not sure what's going on with the last few, but still pretty good. to BOG, and thank you for the well wishes
