Hey, hows it goin.
Got a few PDF files I've made from some old webpages I saved a while back. They're from Cannabis Culture Magazine, they had these pages up to view for free, but took them down later on. (not before i saved them tho!) I found an online converter to make them into PDFs. I hope they work properly.... it kinda chopped up the text and pictures abit, hopefully you can all view them! They were all on Aussie stuff; a couple of big grows here in aus (aussie bush paradise 1 & 2), a couple of articles about harvesting and drying (by the same bloke) and then a couple on the "ABC" or "mutant" strain. enjoy. |

Trimming 320 pounds of pot?
That's a huge amount of work. I wonder how well he trimmed it? And I don't agree with him pinching that other growers crop just because it may have posed a security risk to him. What if the other grower pinched his pot because he said it posed a security risk to him, would he then agree that was ok? Ok, just read the second one, says he hired trimmers. Four years is not a long career as a guerrilla grower though. One mistake I think he made was to have his house, shed, drug lab etc. all next to his crop. If the cops raided it he would be caught red handed, or he would have left fingerprints, probably documents or whatever which would link him to the site if he wasn't there when they raided it. I have camped out when harvesting and trimming but some distance from the grow. As for the males seeding the crop, well he could have sexed the seedlings before planting them, I have done this outdoors, just cover them with a tarp or black plastic to give them 12 hours of dark. You only have to do it for 10 days, and then they usually all have shown sex. That way you don't have to waste time and effort and space growing half your crop which will be pulled up later anyway because they are males. The guy was pretty audacious and thought big, but he wasn't what I would call an expert grower. And then there was the fact that his girlfriends friends all knew he was growing outdoors. Loose lips sink ships, they didn't need to know that and he's lucky someone didn't shop him to the cops. Personally if he hadn't retired after 4 years I think he would have been busted pretty quick. But I enjoyed reading it anyway. |

Should have been called the idiots guide how not to grow pot. Guns, ripping others off, squabbling and big mouths dont go well with growing. Their operation was barely above third world standards. These are the kind of idiots that make life hard for honest growers. Fuck that guy. |

He said at one point he had 26 000 plants, that means he was spending most of the season caring for 13 000 plants which he then had to pull up.
Personally I don't think he had that many. The pictures of his spot showed about 100 in my opinion. I think he did a lot of unneccessary work, carrying in machinery and fridges and stuff. I think it would have been better to keep it simple, just a tent to live in. Personally I don't think he needed to live on site, and that creates a security risk because of the trails he would have made bringing in all that stuff. I think he could have got by visiting once a week or every two weeks. I think it's best to stay away from your grow so you don''t bring attention to it. I can't beleive he didn't have a plan for drying his crop. Wouldn't take much to make a drying shed, just a big tarp over a wooden frame. And driving around with a car full of freshly harvested plants and then spreading them out at a rest stop to dry. Crazy. |
