Seeded plants back to 24hrs light
I searched but didn't find anything. I was curious if once your female is developing her seeds, can you put her back in the veg room and still finish developing her seeds?

I saw on a different thread a guy saying he has re-vegged plants AFTER harvesting seeds but flipping to 24 DURING seed production might weird things out. Only one way to find out!

The seeds will finish developing yet in my opinion the new growth will not begin until the plant produces the seed... So your time may be a seed versus leaf consideration

Yes the female plants will still devolop fully mature seeds if you kick her back to veg. I have 2 plants right now in beer cups that I flipped to sex then when they shot pistils out I hit them with a nice male that was there and bam seeds were starting to form so I kicked her back to veg and the seeds are maturing.

I do it all the time. Works great. I usually just do it for a couple weeks until the seed matures. Then amputate the seeded limbs, leaving the rest to continue reveging.

does this method make the seeds mature slower, faster or the same as leaving them in 12/12?

I'm not sure, I just cut down the plant I had seeded. Only reason I put it back in the 24hr room was because I had nothing else flowering. There was still a good amount of green seed pods.but I had seeds falling out of it so it was time.

I have also had good success making seeds under 20hrs lighting.
Using part of my veg space as a pollination room. I took afew of my faves out of the flower room and placed them in the corner of the veg along w my select male. All placed into 12/12 at the same time, the male removed in 10days, females in 14. All the seeds matured as normal even w slight evidence of reveging. They seem to have produced some excilent regular seeds. My pollen stayed fresh enough for another use afew month later but alas it has proven to have fizzled out when I tried it about 4mo later. |
