Jack 47 - Questions for those that have grown
Hello everyone!
First time Sweet Seeds grower here, and I have a single femmed Jack 47 in my garden that is currently 5 1/2 weeks into flower. It's a very interesting plant in that it seems to exhibit both indica and sativa traits. During veg, she was very branchy with lots of very thin-bladed leaves, and screamed pure sativa. However, she stayed very short with little training, and didn't stretch at all after the flip to flower. Her buds are getting huge, are quite dense, and she has the most beautiful pistils.......very fat and long, when they stick straight out, it makes for a beautiful view! She is the strongest smelling plant in my garden, and has an acrid, skunky smell with hints of pepper and lemon. Anyhow, thought I'd throw up some pictures and see if anyone who has grown Jack 47 has run into this pheno before and if they have any info on how flower time, final smell and taste, or any other details. Cheers and happy growing! |

For what you mentioned in the first post and for what I can see in the pictures I think you're right. They usually take a bit longer but the wait is well deserved ![]() Keep us updated. Sweet smokes! tommy |

![]() Today is day 60 of flower, and I started flushing a few days ago.... she looks like she will probably go another 10-14 days. HUGE coke-can+ sized buds on my Jack 47 plant of very good density considering the sativa heritage of this plant. Longest, most beautiful pistils of any plant I have ever grown...they have turned a pale pinky-orange late in flower, quite stunning! From the reading I've done, it appears that I must have a phenotype that leans very heavily towards the Haze side of the Jack Herer parent.....the smell is out of this world, and like nothing I have smelled on a plant before. The skunky, lemony, sweetness that was present early in flower is gone and it now reeks like 100% pepper! It isn't overpowering until you move or touch the plant, but when you do, it almost makes me sneeze it's so peppery! I'm so excited for harvest day, as in my 3 years of growing I have never come across a plant quite like this one. The lights are currently out in my garden, but I'll snap some pictures tonight for you.

Hi Shiva Blaster!
Nice to read from you ![]() And I'm glad you are enjoying your experience with this wonderful strain. Can't wait to have a look at the pictures ![]() Sounds like you got a very decent pheno, with all the aroma and appearance of a Haze plant, like you mention, but with a relatively short flowering. I hope it also surprises you in a positive way once you smoke it ![]() Keep us updated, sweet smokes! tommy |
