Talking Double Jam

Hola CBG Fans,

I just could not resist this amazing joint project between UnderGround Seeds and CBG...the combination of Jamaican Blue Mountain (CBG) x Jamaican Lambsbread (US) is sure to be a winner! Here are the little babies that germinated 100% in 3 days; I am running 9 as a trial

Please stay tuned for updates, these are off to a quick start.

Saludos

Hello RC Colas,

nice choice you made with Double Jam ! Imho it was only a matter of time until the first Thread for this gorgeous strain would show up.
Grew this strain last year from 3 of 10 seeds just for fun and as an experiment. Received 2 females and 1 male. ( Also 100 % germination within a few days )

They were grown outdoor in pots and later removed to a small Greenhouse.
Noted 2 Phenotypes : 2 plants ( 1 female and 1 male ) leaning towards USC's Purple Lambsbread. This Pheno was the taller one of both and expressed purple calyxes and blue hues on the leafs at flowering under cooler temperatures.
The other Phenotype ( 1 female ) was leaning towards CBG's Jamaican Blue Mountain and was generally a little bit denser in flower formation and also a little bit smaller.
Stayed green under cooler temperatures.

From my experience the smell of dried and cured Flowers is woody and spicy, maybe a little bit of pepper with the purple pheno posessing even mor complex aromas whereas the green one is more floral-sweet.

Smoke is funny and socialising as mentioned in the strain description with many laughs and motivation in my experience. Altough harvested at roughly 9 weeks ( end November)
due to freezing temperatures the smoke is for me very good ( uplifting ) with no body, very red eyes and the buds got a very fair amount of resin for the given growing conditions.

Wish you much fun and satisfaction with growing this strain RC Colas !

Excellente, RC. This'll be an interesting/fun watch.
Thanks for sharing.
Picked up a couple packs of Double Jam (decent price!),
along with ye olde Destroyer, from CBG's website in Jan.

I also have a couple packs of Double Thai, and I was hoping
to do a cross of the two Doubles to create an improved version
of Laughing Buddha.

Hola LowFalutin,

Great to see you chime in on the thread, and interestingly I have also started 'Double Thai' along with these Jamaicans, so look for the Thread under ACE shortly In addition, I am also running 'Kerala' from RSC and will post the pics of that supposed Lambsbread origin strain in this thread shortly for comparison purposes! The Kerala is slower to hatch but looks strikingly similar so far

Saludos

I'm ready for this show, thanks for sharing RC.
I've had some great Jamaican herb in the past in crosses I've grown and in Ja.
Started some original Lambsbread seeds the other day so I will be interested in following along and comparing progress and noting differences, especially in flower time. Looks like they're off to a great start.
Are you growing them indoors or out? Irie times ahead for sure.
