Nutes and Supplements
Good Evening Y'all,
First off.....Big thanks to Alien Dawg for the beans....and being the first to join my thread. Hello OakyJoe and b0nZai.b0b !!! Waiting on the seeds to germinate so I better get busy on this journal...going to try to post all relevant things with descriptions and/or pictures. So to start off here is what I am using for nutrients and supplements: Use MaxiGro™ to encourage growth of seedlings and cuttings and to stimulate rapid growth through the vegetative growth stage. Encourages growth of seedlings and cuttings and stimulates rapid growth through the "vegetative" growth stage Use MaxiBloom™ in the reproductive stage for all fruiting and flowering plants. MaxiBloom encourages prolific flowering and fruiting, and it increases extraordinary yields and crop quality. Encourages prolific flowering and fruiting, and increases yields and crop quality. Bloombastic is a high-quality cocktail of bio-minerals and bio-stimulators that is suitable for the last flowering and ripening phase (4-6 weeks). Bloombastic increases the sugar content of your crop and therefore the weight and the smell. By means of an explosion of sugar and flower production Bloombastic provides thick, dense, sweet-smelling flowers. Compared with other liquid flowering products, Bloombastic contains over 50% more bio-minerals (phosphorus and potassium) for which absolutely no ballast substances have been used (sodium and chlorine). Bloombastic also has an enzymatic influence in several areas, and therefore has a stress-preventing and recovering influence on the plant. Base formulated using Potassium Hydroxide and Potassium Carbonate. Add a little at a time if your nutrient pH is too low in order to raise the pH to the proper level. Cal-Mag Plus 2-0-0 is a specialized calcium, magnesium & iron, plant supplement designed to compensate for deficiencies in some commercial and hydroponic nutrient programs. Cal-Mag Plus also compensates for the natural calcium draw of coco coir fiber. ~ 190 |

I know, I know.....boring so far but just wait
I have learned so much here I want to make it easy for anybody to see what I am working with ![]() For germination, rooting and early veg I use (4) 54 Watt floros GE Starcoat 54 watt 6500 Kelvin T5HO Fluorescent lamp •GE Product Number: F54T5HO/865/ECO •Fits 48 Inch fluorescent grow lights. 6500K for rooting and vegetative growth stages. Mix with 3000K lamp for full spectrum effect. •54 watts •Color Temperature: 6500° Kelvin •Color Rendering: 85 CRI •Initial Lumens: 5000 Then...when they are ready to move to the tent they see 600 Watt MH Digilux Metal Halide and High Pressure Sodium bulbs are favored by growers because of the wide color spectrum and efficiency. They are engineered for use in digital ballasts and feature enhanced red and orange spectrums (HPS) blue spectrums (MH), better color uniformity, longer bulb life, and less lumen depreciation. Digilux bulbs can be used in both vertical and horizontal fixtures. Digilux lamps offer superior performance compared to traditional metal halide and H.P.S. lamps. Digilux HPS bulbs deliver 25% more energy in the red and orange spectrums as well as 25% more energy in the blue, violet, and green spectrums for the MH bulbs And finally 600 Watts of HPS during flowering Digimax Digital HPS lamps are engineered to operate specifically with modern high frequency electronic HID ballasts. The Digimax lamp construction includes thicker component welds and stainless steel materials required to withstand acoustic resonance and harmonic distortion as seen with digital HID ballasts. This robust lamp construction in combination with a light spectrum geared towards photosynthetic response offers a superior product for the high end horticulture market. •Specifically designed lamp for use with electronic/digital ballasts. •Newly designed proprietary starter for greater reliability & increased lamp life. •Ceramic insulation plate for better insulation and performance. •Robust stainless steel armature, versus nickel plated steel. Far stronger and longer lasting. •Packaged in a cool keepsake tin box. Thanks for Looking ~ 190 |

Hey bro have you tried only using maxibloom? Do you get better results with grow and bloom? And do you add 7g (little scoop) per us gallon of water? Also have you tried protekt instead of ph up? I've been using maxibloom for everything and everything's been good but I can see how using grow could be better. I like the idea of bloombastic too.
And nice start to your thread. This thread will be a jem for any begginers out there looking for a recipe for success. |

Uh Oh...Uh Oh....Guess what day it is?
It is germination day! ![]() 6 for 6 germination on the Border Haze all germinated in less than 96 hours. Border Haze are the six seedlings on the left. The four seedlings (and one wannabe) on the right are Kaya Gold that I got as freebies a year ago. Wanted to make sure I would not have any empty wasted grow space so expecting males and such germinated more than my tent can hold. If all 6 BH turn out to be females the willl have tent and show to themselves (will wait and run the KG next) since this is a tester grow after all. These were germinated in 75% Metro-Mix (equivalent of Pro-Mix) and 25% perlite. 10" under my floros w/ cabinet @ 84 deg F 36% RH. They got straight tap water which is 75-80 ppm @ 7.2 pH. Thanks for looking ~ 190 |

Thanks for joining GSP brother
To answer your questions..... This is this first time I will try to grow in addition to the bloom....like you I have only used the bloom. And since this is a new grow will not be able to compare, may even mix the grow and bloom during veg....I dunno but will post whatever I do.Protekt will be here tomorrow with the rest of my goodies order and plan on incorporating it into my feeding plan after reading all the good reviews on it. Since I need to raise pH anyway, figure why not try it. ~190 |
