Bro def not embarrassing. Most people would not even pay enough attention to detail to catch them before there is a bad outbreak. Minor problem and you will handle it no worries.

Yo, those aren't fungus gnat larvae.. fungus gnat larvae have black heads..Those are white pot worms, "enchytraeids"?, I believe..I've ran into them in the past,, only times I got them was when I reused my soil/soiless.. usually they are harmless in organic soils and can be pretty beneficial,, BUT,, they love eating some seeds!

If they are eating seedlings why would they be beneficial to the roots when the plants grow.

To me if they are already at the buffet when the plant is that small they can only become more of a problem.

^^^I think once the plants root system is big enough, they can't do much harm..similar to earthworms being beneficial. And they really only eat decaying organic matter, that's why they like seedlings, cuz once they break shell, there are proteins that are decaying already.. I should have elaborated more.. and really, I would only welcome them in an outdoor situation.. any bugs indoors is a no no for me..

I hate bugs. FFOF is known to have aphids too. It is too hot for seedlings imho. Try light warrior soil for seedlings. Gonna be cooking all soil from here on out before using. In the root aphid thread the common ingredient was everyone was using the same soil. Sorry for the loss.

  • Plants require 18 essential nutrients to grow and survive, classified by their importance into macronutrients (C, H, O, N, P, K, Ca, Mg, S) and micronutrients (B, Cu, Fe, Mn, Zn, Mo, Cl, Co, Ni). Study Tip!
  • Nutrients may be mobile or immobile in the plant and in the soil, which influences redistribution of nutrients and display of deficiency symptoms, and the fertilization of crops.
  • Nutrient demands change throughout the life of the plant, in general increasing during vegetative growth but decreasing during reproductive development.

id let it dry out man - and also - if you can use bleach - the chlorine will kill everything but the plant at the right dose.
