The S1 girls really don't like to be grown in coco. All my other plants and cookie crosses are doing just fine which is bizarre as they've all been fed the same - H3ad's coco formula (6ml/9ml micro/bloom per gal) + 1g Epsom Salts/gal pH to 5.8-6.0

Their lower leaves are yellowing off looking like an N deficiency, but they also have brown necrotic spots forming on the yellow leaves as well.

The coco i used was the cheap bricked coco, but it was flushed properly before use, and like I say, the other strains that I'm running don't mind one bit.

Hopefully I can either fix this or they'll just chug along, but I don't know what to fix as they're being fed what worked for me in coco in the past, so fingers crossed.

Pictures in next post!

Here are the sick girls. The smaller one is runty. They're all starting to show this, just that these 2 are showing it way worse.

Can't figure it out. E.C is at like 1.5, pH at 5.8-6.0 and they're being fed GH micro/bloom at 6/9ml per gal with 1g Epsom salts/gal as well. Other coco plants are loving it.

If anyone had an idea of what it could be, I'm all ears.

Interesting...
Got to love the coco...

Seems like the EC @ 1.5 is just a touch high but im no expert and will try to chose my words wisely when issues arise...

Hoping with such a great pool of testers that most issues shall be over come or at least have the cause understood... lol

I see perhaps a lockout causing a phosphorus deficiency...
Thinking the combo EC 1.5 and PH 5.9 might be the issue.
I might try dropping the PH a touch and see if it improves...

Please take my opinion with a grain of salt as im not wanting to come across as "knowing" and am much more into learning...

1.5 ec sounds a bit too high at this stage...in coco I try to feed plants that size about .5-.7 until their roots are really there, letting them dry out a little in between. If you have some clean coco remaining, I'd try to fill their pots as high as you can without submerging leaves/nodes. There's a lot of extra room in there for roots if you bury the stems a bit and get the peat puck all the way down there.

Hey ninja I would flush the plants and I would lay off the epsom salts.. I had this same exact issues with my plants in coco this round of veg with my redeyed testers.

To me it looks like potassium is being locked out i would flush them don't even do the flush with nutes flush them with plain water if your tap water is good then let them dry up not all the way but enough to the point where they don't droop. Then after a few days you will notice a change then start feeding them light again.

I hope this helps buddy I had the same exact issues it took me forever to figure it was the cal/mg I was adding to my feed regimen.

Appreciate the help guys. I'll give them all a good flush after work and leave them a few days to see how they go.

I'll be sure to skip the EpSalts as well and see how that helps.

Unfortunately, I'm all out of coco, that's why there is a little extra space in the pots, had a brick to split between 20 plants.

Gave the girls a nice heavy run through of plain, non pHed water. The yellow/necrotic leaves have stayed as is, if not gotten a little yellower, but it hasn't spread at all. I'll wait another day or so before they get their next feeding. I'll make sure to skip the Epsom Salts though
