Magic BeansTalk... WW-SS-WWxBB
Hey Folks. I'm posting here since I've got mostly Female Seed products this go-round. Last grow was Nirvana Blue Mystic.
I've been a lurker/grower/deadbeat here & there but this is home for now. I have a 250w CFL envirolite cab 4 x 1 x 3.5. It was an old bookcase I enclosed. It is NOT stealth by any means. I'm living in a duplex apartment and it is in my bedroom closet... a small walk-in 4 x 8. In there I also have 2 veg/mom boxes under cfls of varying sizes - depending on my needs. My friend installed a poot fan (like in the bathroom) from the closet into the attic. The fan also takes a lot of heat out of the closet. There is an attic fan that takes it all away. This will be my 3rd grow with this box. The next previous grows go back to '79. My 1st grow back was a flop. I tried hydro and made it 70 days (w/bagseed) before the game was called on account of root rot. I reset everything, started some Nirvana seeds and they made it 28 days of veg before it became obvious the root problems had not gone away. I cleaned up their roots and trimmed them and threw them in soil. They were very forgiving, liked nutes and ended up giving me a little over 2 ounces of buds after they flowered in soil. This grow will be in soil - MG w/perlite. Basically the BOG recipe. In the garden this time we have: White Widow & Skunk Special @ 8 days. The WW x BB is @ 17 days. This hybrid from the x-line is looking healthy and short for right now. It was transplanted into a 1-gal pot today. The roots were ready for more room. The other plant sharing the living quarters is a MasterLow from Mdanzig at 17 days. It is a female. I also have 2 clones from the blue mystic plant, plus I have a blue mystic mom re-vegging in her box. See below... That's the lineup for my spring grow. I've got some questions I'll get around to asking after the grow gets "settled in." Thanks for dropping by. Be safe, be sane - when applicable Rev ![]()

Need advice choosing a clone mother.
This grow will be my first attempt at cloning. I'm doing the simple water clone and want to see how I can fit it into a perpetual grow schedule.
I have 3 females vegging from seeds. One each - WW, SS, WW x BB. They are roughly the same age - give or take a week. Since I know they are females, I can choose one plant to take clones from and never have to flower the mother plant. SHe'll go from seed to veg and stay there where I can pull clones. I guess my question is: will she be a better clone mother if she has been flowered? If not, this would save time later of having to re-veg her. Will it matter? My first inclination is to go with the WW as a mom plant. I'm anxious to try growing (and smoking) the WW. I smoked a nice bowlful once and it was a tasty punch. The WW x BB hybrid is showing its vigor already. I tied it down this morning and began its regimen of bondage and domination. It looks to be a good choice in the early running but it is a week ahead of the WW. I'll be watching that.

I have taken moms from clones as well as from seeds. We are lucky enough to be dealing woth top notch genetics so the difference I have found none.
Example A: Example B: Team Female Seeds rock either way you go you got a good mommy tree that will give ya many many kids. Mr.Wags

Nice Clone Farm!
Thanks, Mr Wags. Those look nice. How long do you clone before going into soil? ... and then, how long before you move them to a larger pot?
This will be my first attempt at the clone farm but why not. I have a vegbox full of potential moms --> WW, SS, Blue Mystic, and WW x BB. The WW x BB is going to grow first. I'm growing mom a bit so I can get some clones from her. Theoretically, I could rotate the moms and grow a different bunch of clones every six weeks. I'm gonna see if that will help toward a perpetual garden.
