crowmax - since day 46 i've been giving them just water and gh ripen, which is forcing solution, metabolising leftover chems and preparing the plant for death. if i'd known i'd have been waiting till day 63 i'd have left it a week later.

the leaves are yellowing as the plants give up their nitrogen. this for me is a sign that the flush, albeit chemically augmented in my case, is working and doing its thing. plants that look too healthy at the chop still have some weight/flower/herb to give. best to let them yellow-up as yours are doing nicely ... i wish i could have a smoke with you guys, but i'm going to burn one anyway...

hi crowmax

i've had a look at the shop (bought some cooltubes from there a while ago - good service, fast delivery) and i think you might like this:

My Weigh® MX-200
Capacity 200g

Readability 0.1g (full spectrum)
Accuracy (as tested): ±0.1g
Modes: Grams, Ounces, Troy Ounces, Pennyweight
Tare: Yes
Calibration: Digital Auto Calibration using a 100 gram weight
Included Accessories: Batteries, Sliding cover/expansion tray
Size: 3" x 4½"

This digital pocket scale is quite small. We really like the way the cover slides off of the scale and can be used as a tray. This came in very handy when we were weighing lead shot balls – the cover is rounded on 3 sides so we could easily use the cover as a “scoop” to pick up the lead shot, weigh it, and then empty the contents into a zip lock bag. This slide-off cover is actually more practical then any of the folding covers commonly used in pocket scales.

Overall: Big thumbs up!
This scale is the best valued per dollar pocket scale we ever tested. It blew away every scale in its class that we compared it against. It even beat scales that were supposedly out of its class (A&D PV100, Ohaus HP120, Tanita 1479V, Nexus 100 and more!). If you’re looking for a value scale, the MX200 is certainly the best scale for the money that we’ve ever tested.

i use a food scale i got from scalesexpress.com. similar specs to the one mentioned above. it weighs up to 200g. look for something with a decent-sized 'tray' like the one above has.

and yes, i too have cracked in anticipation of the ripe budness and am currently microwaving about half a pound a day to satisfy my habit. by the time they actually get the chop there should be about 10 grams of properly matured stuff left! (not really - but i won't be using that triple f stuff again - it's delayed my schedule!)

new pics soon.

i grew some sativas before and when they weren't ripening after 13 weeks i stuck them in a dark shed and just left them for a week, watering once with a dehumidifier and an oscillating fan for company. i think it was either shantibaba or simon from serious seeds who recommended this for problem plants. i think in about 5-6 days i will chop them all apart from the one pheno which looks like it will go for ages. will stick this one in the dark if it doesn't come into line! can spend its last few days in the drying box surrounded by its dismembered sisters! ripen you b**###ds! ripen!!!

Thanks Herbie, i will get My Weigh® MX-200 or My Weigh Convertible

Couldn't resist and cut 7 AK lower braches and 1 Pure. Should be 8-10 joints when dried.

Hope your buds are ready fast, let's see some photos of your babies

no mate, more like half a gram lol. i ran out of bud about a week ago and have been taking small samples ever since. i'm not a fan of the microwave but haven't run out for years (that trip to India upset my calculations etc). the bud in the picture will hang to dry - i've only been taking little buds from underneath the canopy, and those from only my two smallest runty plants. the harvest shall be intact!
