Trudeau, the Liberals and legalization

Am I the only one not putting all my faith in waiting for Trudeau to legalize? Am I the only one who thinks the Liberals form of 'legalization' sill only be another corporate giveaway similar to the MMPR?

I see SO MANY of my peers saying things along the lines of: "everything is going to change when Trudeau wins". This makes me disheartened as an activist. This is like liberals in the US putting all their faith in Obama to end the Iraq war or something.

My prediction: If Trudeau wins, 'legalization' will still take years to be implemented, will be a corporate giveaway to the MMPR players, and may not even allow for personal grows.

What are your thoughts, potheads?

Sure, but what will it look like? "Legalize" means many different things, depending on who you ask. When people say "Legalize" they usually mean 'just let it be legal'. When government say it, they mean 'we will make it legal to buy and sell, but you have to be a big corporation to grow it'.

I do tend to be peerless. But I try and lower myself down to the standards held by the commoner every now and then, mostly due to loneliness.

They cant stop hundreds of thousands of Canadians from growing with full blow mandatory minimum punishments, do you think they'll be able to gain more control by giving us any form of legalization?

Give us an inch and we will no doubt take it as full blow legalization, and rightfully so.

yo
tomjones,

I be feelin' this way about any and all politicians,

they be lyin' and I be dyin',

ain't got no trust for the government man,
for the simple reason that he do what he can,

to be stickin' it too the common man,
he in bed with the business man,

if'in their lips be movin',
count on the lies,
that be fact easily proven,

ain't got no mind for the government man,
whatever flavour you be votin' for,
ya'll ain't in his plan,

see'in the lies for so many decades that be passin',
government in bed with big business and they be cashin'

cashin' in on you and me,
all our hard work be but for pennies,

I ain't got no mind for the government man,
he be bendin' us over, doin' what he can.

First they need a majority , either majority liberals in the house or liberal minority gov with a good number of NDP seats also. Then they can dump the old laws and make new. Even if trudeau gets in and the liberals do not have the seats with the ndp 's then the conservative house members can still vote no for everything. We need something like Colorado's law's. We should be rallying for recreational not medical , look what direction canada 's heading now, totally backwards. 40000 med users , what about the million rec users .....

Legalize mean not an illegal activity and nothing short. Basically that is the way I see decrim too. Peace GS

ps. I would say alcohol is not legal, as it has restrictions on it, that can have legal consequences. Peace GS
