Avoiding mold
I just hung up some freshly harvested and manicured buds today, and I want to make sure that I do everything possible to avoid mold. They are hanging in my closet now (the same closet I did my grow in - so there is ventilation). A fan is indirectly blowing on them, the temp is 74 degrees F and the humidity is 32%. Anything I should do to make sure they dry properly, without molding?

Your in the same situation as me. I just harvested some Ice and NL and have them hanging in a closet. My humiditiy is a little higher and have fans moving air. Ive got my carbon scrubber on still to help with both smell and cleanliness of air. You shouldnt have any problems just keep the air moving.

So what if there is some mold...do you throw away the whole stash? The stash that's been infested? Or is there a way to get rid of mold?

It would depend on how much mould there is. If there's only a few spots here and there, most of the harvest should be salvagable, you just cut away the affected parts.
Once you've seen how affected it is, common sense will tell you how much you can keep or not. Use a fluoro light to inspect the bud, it makes it much easier to spot mould. |
