Oroboost??
I couldnt find any posts about it. Anybody use this stuff? My local hydro shop gave me a sample. Its suppose to work better than soap as an emulsifier.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYmVdrZeHQI Smells like straight orange oil. It also states to be a insecticide/ fungicide enhancer. https://www.agrian.com/pdfs/Oroboost_(111207)_Label.pdf sounds pretty cool... Any thoughts?? |

seriously though, I've been all over the internet looking for this stuff. No one sells it, and nobody talks about it except for bigger industrial farm guys. The label says its organic, although that doesn't mean much. Oro also makes a bunch of other
But this stuff works. I used it last night to break up some neem oil for a spray. dissolved it instantly, and I used next to nothing, like a few drops. Much less than soap. Hardly even had to stir it. I will definitely be using this sample until its gone. I wish I asked the hydro guy how much it was... |

Oroboost contains alcohol ethoxylate
I've used Oroboost before and have done some research into the ingredients. Alcohol ethoxylate can strip the terpenes from your plants and is like applying rubbing alcohol to them which is not what we want unless you have a serious bug problem.
I would recommend Thermx70 for a surfactant/adjuvant. It is a Yucca based product including plant saponins. Also, if you do decide to use Oroboost, make sure that before adding your final spray solution to your sprayer, you add one drop of oroboost with some water and agitate then pour out because the alcohol ethoxylate works like a solvent in that it will bring any residues that were left inside the sprayer along with it. I learned this the hard way when using green cleaner and oroboost side by side. Burned my leaves pretty good. Also, the citrus oil and the alcohol inside are actually fungicidal on their own. This is best not used within 5 days if you're using products like met-52, botaniguard, PFR-97, or any other entomopathenogenic fungi that depends on spore germination. Good luck! |
