Juicy fruit Thai. Mmhmm now that's a keeper wish I had the climate for a pure Thai.
I have never tried fruit salad sounds great tho. Sounds like you will have more interesting strains in the future arid.

After a seasonal hiatus, we're going/growing, with great anticipation, a few new strains, and making sure our work last summer is most befitting to customers with no problems- hermaphrodizing, genetic abnormalities.

The San Juan Mountains regional ruderalis (Southern Rockies) plucked 2 years ago has steadily been bred/rebred with an Matanuska, Alaska seeded plant. Although it won't be gargantuan, the effect and taste will be spectacular!!

Two of us saved an auto strain we really (really) liked and has been unavailable the last 3-4 years for purchase. A sweet and spicy sativa auto- a beautiful plant and shows great promise.

That, with the our other strains created the last few years....it will be a busy season!!

I must agree, Thai genetics are great, save for the long, long grow period!! I think I'd rather trade in semi-arid climate for strains that perform well in higher latitude vs. near equatorial latitude plants (5°- 18° lat N) that take a lot of time to harvest for the impatient grower.

San Juan's rudy...no name yet

Hello MJPassion-

Thanks for your inquiry!! I found it (clumps of ruderalis along a south facing area....perennial trickle...not really a stream or creek) while backpacking in the San Juan's Mountain Range (Southern Rockies) 2 years ago in SW Colorado. More specifically, it was South and West of Mountain Village (Telluride area) in the rough vicinity of Wilson Mesa and Elk Creek Trail. Dug up gobs between 4 of us and brought back a stash of plants....about 40% survived the trek back to civilization. Tasted it....it gave us a moderate buzz....thinking maybe 6-8% thc....only a guesstimate, but indeed, it was cannabis, growing about 16-18" tall!!! Wa-hooo!

From there, I grew it out to make seed stock. Did F1 and F2, and introduced Belladonna and an Alaskan auto (purportedly a "Thunderf**k" or Matanuska)....figuring a hardy 'rudy' needed to be with other 'cousins' of cold rough mountain lineage. Finished what we think will be a nice 'mountain high' late last fall....no J. Denver cliché`s.

Everyone we introduced the samples to really liked it! (always nice of have a slit-eyed wide grin approval). It's not a super auto (as far as yield/height), but sure has some kick to it after working with it for the 3rd year, increasing potency, and form.

Right now I'm starting them (they were just put under a warm thin soil blanket and should pop in a few days) to make sure there are no problems and we will be releasing later (after summer solstice). I'm going to low stress train to amp up yield and see just how tall she gets as well as the girth.

I cannot vouch for the thc percentage, but it was 2 toke oblivion!! ;o) Quite tasty, a quick heady hitter. We're proud of finding such a jewel (by happenstance really....a serendipitous find!) and working to make her a Rocky Mountain gem.

If you (or others) have other questions, please feel free to ask.

Kinda cool to come up with a REAL ruderalis in our back yard (SW mtns.) so to speak. Due to it's low profile (near thorned gooseberry shrubs) and not being a patterned grow, I don't think it was a planned planting...like coming across in guerrilla grows. Nonetheless, we're excited in what we've accomplished thus far...and hoping it will be a 'hit'....a nice addition to someone's auto grow.

We certainly appreciate your interest, MJP!!

Autos are resilient. We have ours out in cold frame/sm. greenhouse currently. As hours of light/warmth continue to increase, so does the growth. You'll see the best results when soil is at a consistent temperature.....gang busters in late spring into summer, early fall. Similar to tomatoes. They thrive in warm sunny environments, can take rain/colder bout of weather.

We have ours in cold frame. Doing nicely. Better yield when summer approaches. If freezing @ night, a reflective shield is thrown over glass partition.
